I'd be willing to absorb his contract and give a 2nd rounder, probably about all though.

Maybe Portland turns their attention to him after Gasol ends up in San Antonio?

As a Bucks fan, why do you think the team has soured on Monroe as quickly as they have? Is it really only his defense?

We want a high pace offense and he doesn't that obviously work with that. Also we have zero outside shooting last year beside Middleton, all he did was clog the lane.

As far as his D, we knew that going in, but since we're playing Parker at 4 that's been an awful combination.

Can't see us doing it for a TPE but i'd be interested in something around Plumee and Ed Davis.

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

If he can't work in a high-pace offense, then Portland will have zero interest in him. Doubt they'd even do the TPE knowing the issue about his fit know, let alone two of the Blazers best trading assets in Plumlee and Davis.

Yeah, I don't think you're going to get a starter and an amazing value contract of a rotation player for a guy your team has been shopping since pretty much two months after the season started in his first year there.

The salary cap was $15.9 million in 1995!

Edit: that means Turner's contract would be under $3 million per year is 1995 dollars.

I've been screaming from the rooftops that it's time we stop caring about the actual dollar amount players are making. It's gotten to a ridiculous amount that it's more important to start looking at percentages a player takes of the teams cap, not how many dollars are going into their bank accounts.

The NBA announced the salary cap floor that teams HAVE to spend this season, it's a little over 84mil. A little over 84mil was the luxury tax threshold last season.

We as fans need to look at NBA contracts differently now.

Actually really surprising. Last I heard Atlanta was making real progress on getting a deal done.

Good for Boston I guess.

They have ways to create cap space. But, they had a lot to begin with...

I dont really get that move. they have the youngest team in the league right? I guess they can try and consolidate their considerable assets to do repeat 2007.

Well there go our chances of getting Millsap. Now back to Pau? Or try to make a trade with Boston so they can clear space for Durant?

Horford, Thomas, Bradley, Smart, Crowder...
In the East...

Westbrook, Oladipo, Adams, Kanter...
In the West...

It's close.

I'd love to see Boston get Durant too, not sure why he'd leave OKC's situation, but that would surely take the Thunder down in the standings. Still a playoff team with just Westbrook next year, but far from a top 3 lock.

Just do it, Durant! Go to Boston. Would make the East so much more interesting and the West a little less daunting.

You want to rent Amir Johnson for a year.

I'll take Johnson and Jaylen Brown for a future first.

I'm just happy Horford said no to OKC, San Antonio, and Golden State.

Return to Portland Trail Blazers
