I suppose I must be content with it.
We signed a talented player but I'm just not that impressed with what I have seen from him.
Oh well, talent is talent, and he's certainly young.

Now, we wait to see what Durant does, and if he chooses Golden State or stays with OKC. Keep in mind he was one win from making the finals this year so I will be surprised if he decides to leave OKC where he has spent his entire NBA career.

Warriors fan here - hope you get Barnes! If we miss out on KD I don't want him preventing the Warriors from signing a big FA next summer, when Curry's max deal kicks in.

The big question is if this means they want to win this season or not. And with win I mean mediocre lottery pick next draft.

I don't care if he is overpaid, we have too much cap space and nobody to pay for. I say get as many young pieces as you can get, evaluate them, try to get a high pick. If Dirk is stubborn enough to stay, he can have the rest of the cap room, but he needs to understand that winning is not on the table this season.

Freaking Mahinmi got 16 millions per. So what, we pay 8 million more for some potential at least.

Yeah, cuz mavs have to fill up cap floor above 84.7 mil. It seems like MC just offer talents as max level player where we can offer now.

I have just seen some posts and never written here before, but It's terrible, so I say I am disappointed in Mavs front, including MC. I do not know where they are going to. I think MC is afraid of tanking after failing FA again, 5 years. If he does tanking, that's not a problem, but all mavs vets can feel like me even Dirk, RC and all the fans, and they can leave this team.

Really hope Durant does not go to Warriors and they match the offer to Barnes. If anyone's bang to hype ratio is out of whack it is Barnes. Rather they give Dirk and Powell more money and add some mid tier FA than wayyyyy overpay for Barnes.

Well Parsons got the same and if I had to choose between Barnes and Parsons I'd pick Barnes.

If GS was smart they wouldn't match either way, not that I don't want them to.

If harrison barnes is on this roster next year I'm out as a fan, i dont like parsons much but he's a lot better than barnes, to pay a 12 and five scrub with a 12 per 25 million is a joke

I don't get it. Is Justin Anderson in their long-term plan now? I don't think Harrison Barnes can play PF at all.

Dallas is just trying to mess with GSW plans for whatever reason. I bet Durant stays in OKC and then GSW has to make the tough decision whether to overpay for Barnes or not. I'm neutral on Barnes because he doesn't really help nor hurt Dallas in my opinion. He is just another rotation guy making max like the other rotation guys make in the NBA now.

Re. Harrison at PF, that's one reason they like him. He is a decent defender of PFs and on offense he can draw them out to the three point line, so he's versatile enough to switch and play at the 4 in their "death lineup" with Draymond at center.

Trying to tie up GS money so we don't have to compete with them in 2017 free agency. Unfortuently MC is forgetting there's 25 other teams in better situations that will have cap space next year as well. Dry powder round six here we come.

Great plan. I am content either way. Conversely, the Golden States should be extremely unhappy either way.

No big opinion one way or the other on this. Better than those crazy contracts the Lakers are handing out.

I would rather have that Luol Deng deal... Deng is a better player
