Let's not set expectations too high, now.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Suns.com: For people who may not have seen him in college, how would you describe his style of play?

Robic: “Always thinking a play ahead, very instinctive, knows where everybody should be on the court on every possession and makes the smart play. He’s just really sound and does what he’s supposed to do on both ends of the court.”

Suns.com: You’ve obviously seen it first-hand, so could you describe the close relationship Ulis and Booker have on and off the court?

Robic: “Inseparable. Best Friends. They shared a suite in our housing here on campus. They lived together when we traveled. It was constant contact. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen two teammates be better friends and attached at the hip more in my 31 years of coaching.”

He might become our starting PG if (or once) Bledsoe's knees fall apart.

#Suns plan to sign Ulis to contract similar to a 1st round pick. Said Ulis, "They didn't have to do that...it shows they have faith in me"

Just as we alluded to. Team has faith in him.

I guess this means he is the backup PG. Ulis definitely has the potential to be good. Whats the situation on Price?

They play nothing alike, Kay Felder is more similar to Mighty Mouse. IT was wrongly villified, the FO didn't live up to their end IMO. Ulis is more like the featherweight version of Mike Conley

At least make an NBA comparison. Off the top of my head, he has an assist/turnover ratio of 3.5 to 1, similar to Rubio. He also won defensive player of the year in the SEC despite his size. Rubio is known as one of the best defenders. He's somewhat of a better shooting, shorter version of Rubio for a current NBA comp. He purely makes others better first and foremost, and is a quick tenacious defender (though his size will be a problem except he may come up with quite a few steals just because people don't see him, so another thing he will be like Rubio at, who gets a lot of steals).

Minnesota was probably the 2nd worst team in the league without Rubio this year, because with him, they outscored their opponents, so they would have probably finished above 500 with a healthy Rubio playing 48 minutes a game. So he brought them up to 5th worst.

Ulis will really make other players better. Something that Bledsoe does, but Ulis would probably make more of an impact in that regard. Knight probably makes others worse since they usually stand around and watch him mostly. But with Watson preaching passing and ball movement, maybe Knight changes his ways.

suns got a great pick with ulis, size nowadays means much less. Ulis can become an elite shooter and ensure he has a career in the nba, his playmaking will definitely translate as well. Ulis + Booker + Chriss + Bender, wow everyone can pass..

I finally figured out who Ulis reminds me of:

And I'm serious. Pass first, calm demeanor, crafty, can hit the open shot, can cut off the ball.

It's not about Ulis but on Draft Board people were talking about Dennis Smith and if his size will hurt him in the NBA.

Yeah but Chris is an anomaly. Not to say Dennis couldn't possibly be a great defender in the league (because he does play good defense when he's engaged) but to just mention size and wingspan comparatively without factoring in IQ and just plain old fight and desire is unfair to both parties.

Without really knowing how much effort he's willing to put in on that side of the ball possession after possession or even how well he reads what's being done in front of and executed behind him respectively, his height and length are legit concerns.

Ya Im not saying hes going to be as good as CP3 but just saying you can still be a really good defender at the PG spot even when your small. Mike Conley is arguably the 2nd best defender and hes 6'1 with a 6'5 wingspan and 7'10 standing reach. If DSJ has the mentality to be a great defender, his size wont hold him back especially with his athleticism to make up for it

Ulis is shorter than CP and Conley (don't know what his wingspan is) but if they can be top defensive PG despite their lack of size I think Ulis can be at least average.

I think Ulis is going to be very good at keeping his man in front of him. The two problems I see with Ulis is his lack of strength (only 149 pounds) that's not an issue with CP3 and DSJ and Ulis standing reach I believe is around 7'3. I think NBA guards will be able to just play a little bully ball and just shoot right over him. But I do agree with you that he should be at least average because he does have elite defensive skills and IQ. But he's just not on the smaller side, he maybe the smallest guy in the NBA next year.

He can't grow in size but he can and should gain some muscle mass.
At least he is not Muggsy Bogues's size :P

If we're not winning by game 40, Tyler Ulis is my panic button: Tyler, and whoever plays well with Tyler, plays.
