If KD goes to GSW and Chicago wants Ainge to overpay for Butler in Ainge's shoes, I say go fly a kite in less diplomatic terms.

At that point Boston just has to focus on being the clear 2nd best team in the EC and praying that key players on Cleveland and GSW get hurt.

If the Celtics get bad news tonight, Celtics still have a chance to win a title without KD....Ainge just needs luck and to make a few really good moves sooner before the trading deadline.

I like your optimism, but how? This team with no KD isn't even a legit "contender" nevermind winning a title. Only way this team enters legit "contender" status and actually wins a title is if we put a Top 15 NBA talent(at minimum) on this roster by the start of the 2017 playoffs. Who, other than possibly Cousins, is even possibly available? Everything rides on Durant for the 2016-2017 season...........no ifs, ands or buts about it. This team is not a contender..........yet. Not being a hater, simply keeping it real.

I have no clue what's going on, but I think it's now safe to say it's down to the final three:

I bet KD will take LBJ route and reveal his decision via the players tribune or SI. This will not be a wojbomb or any other reporter scoop.

If he picks GSW the NBA should just do a Chris Paul to Lakers denial move because that would ruin the league!

File him under dinosaur too, with Kenny Anderson. How are these guys supposed to have sources when guys within the actual league today dont have a clue. I´m heading into heavily guarded territory right now so I dont get my feeling too hurt if he doesn't sign. But if he doesn´t come here I still think i´m going to go into a small depression.

I know this won't sit well with you but there is the Piston way. Add Noel to this team and there are actually a lot of parallels between the two teams. I'm not the biggest fan of Butler, but if we want a top 20 type of player, he's another option on top of Noel.

If he signs with Golden State we might as well turn off the fn lights on this forum and all come back in 4-5 years. It's a wrap.

Seems ironic that a player who is so deliberate with his image would knowingly make a decision that turns him into a villian

Don't know what to think. But this is great feeling - one of the best NBA players considers going to Celtics. It's better than watching Kardashian playing in green :)

KD really going to make me root for the Cavs in the finals by going to Golden State. Don't do this to me!

If a gambler knows something that nobody knows, he better bet on it a lot of $$$ in Vegas, rather than saying it to the world, right ?

If it makes you feel any better, even if he doesn't come here, we can take our current roster with Jerebko and Johnson into this season, win over 50 games, and then come out in 2017 with enough cap space to sign Blake Griffin on top of retaining the 2017 and 2018 BKN picks, plus Brown might develop into a good player. We still have loads of good options.

Nothing we can about it if do if he goes to the Warriors. The NBA would stop being fun though

There is no way he goes to the Warriors this offseason. It would kill the OKC fan base not to mention the Thunder are in decent position to beat the Warriors in the playoffs. Oladipo is a huge upgrade over Waiters and Foye and Ibaka had been somewhat of a non factor to begin with.

It is either OKC or us. OKC on a one year deal was the older rumor and is what feels most likely. But who knows.
