Most of these big deals we are seeing are 4 year deals. Perhaps some teams will be looking to shed some salary in 2 years and Portland could swap Gasol for wheover might be on the block. Only time will tell how this pans out and whether the Blazers even have Gasol.

Seems Spurs are fairly well out of consideration, which makes me wonder where the delay is on Gasol's part.

He's gonna take the minimum to join KD in Oakland.

If Gasol is in, you'd have to guess that Davis is out.
Plumlee's contract is reasonable for this season.

Yeah, we're wasting a lot of interwebs talking about a guy who may very well not even bother coming here. In fact, judging by my correct assessment of the Parsons situation while he was deciding, I would say the chances are high he's not interested in Portland if they've already placed an offer in front of him and he hasn't signed.

That rule of thumb seems to be sound, if you see a report that a team has offered a player a contract and the player hasn't signed, he's probably not going to sign it.

What if the delay with Gasol is Portland waiting to see if GSW retracts heir QO from Ezeli to make room for Durant.
