They also said Ainge asked for one more chance to talk to him, but they are staying true to what they set up. Everyone got their shot and OKC gets the rebuttal if you will.

May be an odd question, but how is something like this being talked about so openly at summer league?!

We are all sitting together in the media room. I've come to learn that Summer League is a lot more about signings at this point that basketball. It is basically about the media being together and sharing stuff.

I don't recall this, he just didn't have a very good supporting cast around him, Spreewell and Cassell was as good as it got for him.

Crowder was at the meeting. That'd be such a junky move on the Celtics' FO part in terms of loyalty unless Durant literally requires it. If Durant comes, I think they are gonna try to go at it with the current roster as is (at least it's my hope). Trading the BKN picks + any of the core should be last resort if we need to bolster the roster at the deadline or next season.

I think you would be really surprised how open reporters and insiders can be during intense situations, even I have picked up tidbits in the past just by being respectful and listening closely, haha.

Would have to think either Bradley or Brown/Smart would be on the table instead of Crowder.

That being the case, give me Boogie over Butler, who's a richer man's Crowder.

100%. I try to just be quiet and when I do speak, I do it respectfully and hopefully offer some insight and a little humor.

I've had this dream for years that KD will be a Celtic, dont let me down man...if we're this close to the finish line only to fall short...come to Boston Durant.

I will say this.... Communication is Ainge's biggest strength as a gm. I believe it was his major in college. Boston had a great hand to play in the pitch meeting.

You have to trade Avery and stick with Crowder 100% here. Even if that means overpaying.

IT/Bradley/Butler/Durant/Horford with Smart, Brown, and Olynyk off the bench? To put that amount of talent on the floor at the same time, I give up Crowder and the draft pick no question. We could shore up the rebounding and defense by getting a big man with another trade at the deadline or with the mid-level exception the following offseason.

Jae is also a pretty great pairing with KD, because they both provide defensive versatility but Jae can take the pounding from 4's or just defend the bigger wing threat.
