Relax.

If he was going back to OKC, it would've been done by now. He's certainly not going to GS to be Curry's understudy. He wants to win MVPs, not help Curry win more.

He's coming here.

8-)

And if wanted to be in Boston it would have been done by now.

People are overstating how he will be Curry's "understudy." Pretty sure he would have the time of his life buzz sawing through the NBA winning 5 or 6 titles regardless.

As for OKC. Well maybe he wants to be loyal to them after all?

You know what sucks? Since we don't know what time KD is going to announce who he is playing for next year, that means I'm barely gonna get any sleep

For those pining for a big trade. If we take on Cousins or Butler before we would potentially sign Durant doesn't that effectively nix our double max cap room available? Unless a bunch of contracts are included?

No one knows what they're talking about anymore, and it's good for us.
Which means we're not actually out.

Jaylen Brown?

I predicted Brown for a month on Reddit. A lot of people predicted Brown to the Celtics. It was talked about in the media for weeks before the draft that we liked him.

Alright fellas, I have a million non-KD things I gotta do. Plus I should probably spend a little time with my wife. If I hear anything worth sharing, I'll pop back in. But I don't think anything is happening tonight.

That said, I'll be refreshing The Players' Tribune Twitter and webpage quite a bit. Mike Conley article be damned!

I said it before, but I love you all. 56 pages, over 1100 posts. You guys are the best. We might be a big screwed up dysfunctional family, but we are a family. I hope I didn't get anyone unnecessarily excited, but I wanted to share what I had. I am excited too, and that is when I turn to you all. Thanks for following along the way!

Jaylen Brown?

He broke that we were drafting him? I'd be shocked if he got it before Woj or Ford. And even if so, there were strong signs pointing to us liking him well before the draft.

Fun thread, other than those two trolls.

Whatever happens, just the fact that C's are one of the three/four teams with a shot at KD is a huge thing. I usually hate 'everyone gets a trophy' mentality, but in this case it's a great sign for the franchise.

I'm hopeful till the end, but realistically it's OKC or GSW. The fact that LAL and HOU didn't even get a shot at him, shows us that KD is a different dude, he's not your regular superstar. If anyone could make out of the box decision it's him, but odds are against us IMO.

I agree with majority of posters who believe that him going to Oakland would be terrible for NBA fans. Real NBA fans. It would be great for casuals and business side of things, because casuals love big stories and bandwagoning. I won't stop following the league because I love the sport, but it will certainly kill my interest in the league for a while.

I won't hate him whatever he does, unlike Lebron he's a likeable guy. If he wants a guaranteed ring or two or three.. he has the right to do that. I was shocked how easily people, even on this board, forgot what piece of ish LBJ was, and praised him for winning a ship this year. So, I'm sure negativity of KD joining the super team will fade quickly.
