Whatever happens, just the fact that C's are one of the three/four teams with a shot at KD is a huge thing. I usually hate 'everyone gets a trophy' mentality, but in this case it's a great sign for the franchise.

I'm hopeful till the end, but realistically it's OKC or GSW. The fact that LAL and HOU didn't even get a shot at him, shows us that KD is a different dude, he's not your regular superstar. If anyone could make out of the box decision it's him, but odds are against us IMO.

I agree with majority of posters who believe that him going to Oakland would be terrible for NBA fans. Real NBA fans. It would be great for casuals and business side of things, because casuals love big stories and bandwagoning. I won't stop following the league because I love the sport, but it will certainly kill my interest in the sport.

I won't hate him whatever he does, unlike Lebron he's a likeable guy. If he wants a guaranteed ring or two or three.. he can the right to do that. I was shocked how easily people, even on this board, forgot what piece of ish LBJ is, and praised him for winning a ship this year. I almost puked. So why wouldn't KD join the GSW?

Bron lead them back down 3-1 though in Cleveland not Miami.

A KD/Boston-LeBron/Cleveland rivalry in the East could be fun.

He came back only when super team in Miami broke down. So he basically jumped to a better situation twice, and sold it like he did it because he loves Ohio. It's a joke.

Honestly everyone relax! The situation is the same all along since like 3 pm imo. OKC vs. BOS vs. GSW, in that order.

I don't need to be a reporter to know that KD is likely not to sign with GS. It doesn't match up based on his character, his goals, his values.

OKC to stay loyal, or BOS- a fresh start that can also contend...those are probably the likely scenarios.

Royce Young and Sherrod are both garbage. And each of their sourceless tweets offsets any rumors. We are back to where we where earlier today

He always said he was returning to Cleveland though didn't he? Timing was a bit suspect. He delivered on his promise though.

I totally forgot the best part of today....

I met Larry Bird!

I'm surprised it wasn't the end of my media career because it went basically how any kid who grew up in Boston in the 80s meeting The Legend would go. I'm sure I came off like a complete moron. But he couldn't have been nicer. Cracked a joke about how bad Summer League ball is and said he appreciated me saying he was one of my basketball heroes.

We're basically best friends now. If I was handier with this stuff, I'd post that seen from Step Brothers where they say "Did we just become best friends?".

Love this forum, sometimes in the offseason even more than in regular season. Tomorrow is going to be fun.

I hope Celtics will be a real contender in twenty-four hours.

"Not out yet" is a lot different to "Still in the running".... not great if true.
But at the end of the day out of the 6 teams it has come down to 3, and that is a huge step to be considered over LAC/Spurs/Miami.. Should put us in line for next years FA crop nicely if we can have a good showing in the playoffs.

Should of told him to give KD a call to tell him what being a Celtic is truly like and about!

Still holding out hope, fellas. Though the Blakely article has me very concerned.

Return to Boston Celtics
