You being facetious? Where are you getting the Clippers? That dream appears to been destroyed the moment they came to terms with Austin Rivers and now Crawford.

From the outside it certainly appears to be Thunder vs Warriors for Durant. Assuming he signs a 1+1 deal to sign the bigger max next offseason, I will assume he stays one more year in OKC. It would just be lame to leave for GS now after the choke job he and the Thunder did against them in the playoffs. I really think he gives it one more shot to win a ring with Westbrook in OKC. All bets are off for next summer though.

Blakely is tweeting Celtics are still very much in. Which means congrats to the GSW. Durant makes LeBrons "decision" look amazing

I dont see why he'd take all the time to writer an article if he's signing a one year contract. The only way to me this would be article worthy in terms of showing loyalty to OKC if he does re-sign is if he;'s signing a 5 year max which I think is unlikely from everything we've heard.

OKC has already made some great moves this off season.

Durant doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who would want to join the team he just lost to. He seems like the kind of guy who would want to have the chance at beating that team then beat Lebron on his own merit.

I hear what you are saying about the drawn out thing but I think in this case I see it more as him just doing his due diligence. This is all just a formality. The fact that he gave his current team 2 chances to win him over all over again shows favouritism on his behalf. He didn't have to do it but chose to do it anyway. That tells me his heart lies in OKC.

If I had to put money on it I'd say for sure he's staying.

I honestly have no idea what he will do. My gut says he's gone, just from how this is being done and the various people saying stuff (like NBA Betting Guy on Twitter; supposedly Jay Z wants him with Golden State; etc), but I have no clue.

We'll find out soon.

I'm a Warriors fan so you'd think I'd try to agree with you but my gut says otherwise.

LOL my gut vs your gut, let's go!

How much money would he be passing up if he didn't sign with OKC?

would be such a punk move to join Okc's western conference rivals.
Ride the coat tails of Steph Curry, with less touches, always one less ring than Curry and co.

Durant tweeted about how cheap ot was when everyone was joining the Heat or the Lakers back in 2010 and now he's jumping on the GSW bandwagon. BS man and he'll lose credibility with the general public.

Stay with OKC for a year and see what Russ does or go to the East and join the greatest franchise in NBA history as THE MAN with the perfect cast of elite role players and a brilliant, genius coach in Bead Stevens.

Don't be a punk KD. Either leave the West and become the man on your own team or resign with OKC and fight the Warriors.
But whatever you do, don't make the b*#% move and jump on Steph Curry's coat tails.

For basketball's sake.
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.

Think about how much this can change the NBA. He goes to Boston the east is relevant again. He stays in OKC if nothing else the west is a dogfight in the playoffs. He goes to GS it's over; there is one contender left. The east is pointless, the west pointless.

Durant to GS would be like dropping a nuke on the NBA.

Durant shouldn't care what the general public thinks. His legacy like all great NBA players ultimately will be determined by rings.

Why try the same formula that has failed over and over again (OKC) when you can pick the better, wiser route of guaranteeing rings year in and year out? Golden State is the right decision.

And Boston is stupid move too. Yea they'd be great, but not convincingly better than the Cavs, Warriors or even the Spurs.

With the Warriors Durant's only concern would be the Cavs.

People are so dumb talking about this "would lose all respect for him" sh&t. As if he should care about what random fans want him to do.

On one hand I think it would be a total slap in the face to OKC fans to go to Boston instead of just re-signing in OKC and recruiting Horford before he signed with the Celtics to play with him and Westbrook. And on the other hand, while signing with the Dubs doesn't guarantee him a championship it would be a total cop out to go there and any championships he did win would be pretty lowly regarded. And it would mean there is one less contender in the NBA.

Just re-sign with OKC KD.

All rings don't have equal value though at least in terms of public perception. Look at Lebron, his 2 rings in Miami are percieved less impressively than his 1 in Cleveland because everyone know his ring in Cleveland was more difficult to achieve.

Rings are obviously a big deal when it comes to legacy (I'd argue way too big a deal) but not all rings are created equally. I just don't see the path for Durant ever making the Warriors his team. When Lebron joined Wade he was better than Wade, younger than Wade, he was never going to surpass Wade in the hearts of Miami fans, but the path was clear for him to make that his squad from a basketball perspective. There was the tug and pull in year 1, but the transfer was inevitable. Durant is joining a better player than him, same age, who just led this team to 73 wins and was a minute away from back to back titles. Have fun with sidekick rings, it's not going to boost that legacy as much as he would hope

But beyond the whole 73 wins and near back to back stuff, it's the whole "can't beat em join em" aspect that's so unsavory. This team beat you. I thought Draymond took Steven Adams balls, not durants....
