Right? Haha. GS just lost the title because they had no one who could win a one v one matchup with Finals "no fouls called" defense.

Durant can win one on one battles and kickstart their entire offense.

What? They won 73 games and curry and co. Had a bad shooting game and they lost game 7. He does t win them that series.

What a cop out move if he signs with GS, the team who beat him. For me, he would look so foolish to sign with them. What can he possibly add to them? They already won it without him. Leaving OKC to join them would hurt his legacy imo. KD is a top 4 player in the league not gary payton looking to sign with miami for a chance to win it all.

Now for him to sign with BOS is a different story. BOS is on the rise but not a contender. He would make them a contender and carry them to be an elite team and be the guy. I would have no problem with that except it would suck since I cheer for Toronto.

If KD chooses GSW, I am not convinced we will ever get an honest answer if Boston was ahead of OKC or not. KD will probably just say it was down to GSW or OKC.

And Steph Curry and Iguodala do Bible study with Durant anyways.

Fair enough, I stand corrected, I was not aware of those details. I do, however, stand by the rest of my statements re: why GSW doesn't make any sense to me.

I think it is BOS or GSW just for the simple fact that Durant cant assure Westbrook stays after next year. BOS has young talent and did well and GSW have locked their big 3 locked up

GSW with Durant would be NBA 2K17. They would DESTROY every team in the league for multiple years

Golden State.

I think OKC is out. It shouldn't take this long to say he's coming back.

And I think the Celtics made progress and were really close, but Golden State is that much more of a "guarantee". But that is truly just my opinion. Nothing more than that.

So you don't think he cares about how the rest of the world think of him besides warrior fans ?

I think he wants a title. I don't think he's worried about his rep beyond that.

I mean all signs really do point towards Boston.

GSW came out of nowhere and would be the biggest head-scratcher imo. And yet they keep getting pushed as the front runner. He'd be vilified, would stay in the tough west coast, and then after battling through the playoffs would have to face a well-rested Lebron in the finals. And I don't get why after seemingly being upset about having to share the cape the last few years, he'd now be ok with becoming Kevin Love?

OKC seems the most likely, but if that's the case why draw this out?

Boston has the history of Danny and the Durant Family, a legendary franchise, with the best, most engaged fanbase in the league. Hungry young betas who need an alpha dog like KD. We have so many assets (I know, Danny hates that term) that we can flip for more veteran talent, with a chance to give the Nets 4 losses each year.

I mean, c'mon.

Ws not coming out of nowhere at all. Even if people don't want to take my word for it, Woj was reporting as much even before all-star weekend. Spears and Isola also reported as much.

Regardless of whether it is GS or Boston, a lot of people been making the mistakes of only hearing what they want to hear, and deciding for themselves what is best for KG and his legacy.

The difference is Ray Allen was a role player at that stage. KD is a superstar and a top 3 player in the world.

It would just look odd to join an already championship team. He wouldn't add anything. They've already won it.

If he goes to G.S, people are going to laugh at him.

If he just wants a title, I don't even know why he needs to meet anyone. Just meet with Boston and tell them to keep their cap room open for the next 1-2 years and sign a 1 + 1 deal with GSW.

If Curry/Green/Klay get hurt bolt to GSW for a team like BOS or any other better option at that time than GSW.

I am hoping things like fan base/maximizing legacy/chance to beat Lebron next year in the playoffs with only 1 perceived major star on his team swings his decision to Boston.

But from a pure basketball perspective tough to compete with

Curry
Klay
Iggy
KD
Green

Other teams would just be hoping for twisted ankles which could happen.

Does Mavs signing their guys have implications to their signing/offer to Barnes?

If I were to talk to Kevin,

I would tell him dude are you serious with golden state? They beat you. They ruined your season. You should have been champs or at least in the finals. And now you want to join them? Are you just giving up on being a star? Going there would be 10X worse than Lebron joining Wade. At least Lebron didn't lose to Wade before joining. This is just pathetic. Man up and be a Legend. Whether in OKC or Boston but really you're gonna join a 73 win team. You're just an extra. You're the bow on top of a new car in a Christmas commercial. You're supposed to be the man. Not the man below the man below the man. You're better than that!

Guys, the damage to Durants career will be incalculable. At least Lebron teaming up led to a title. But, this is seriously like Barkley, Ewing or Olajuwon joining Jordan in prime. Or, Jordan joining the Pistons in 1989.

Durant is not needed by warriors, would be duplicative, , mess with chemistry and be generally lost. That's stef's team.

Someone please answer the Q about Mavs. They just agreed to re-sign DWill and Powell. Any implications to Barnes offer?

Edit: Never mind. Total just comes about to 19M. They have tons of space.

I will genuinely lose interest in the NBA if KD signs with the Warriors. Sure he can easily win a title but I thought he would have a little more dignity and competitiveness in him. I already hate the Warriors, and if they get Durant, I can't help but to hate them more, and hate KD.

it obviously makes the most sense for him, but it just ruins basketball even more. Words cannot describe how joyous I was when the Warriors lost to the Cavs.

I REALLY want Kevin in that green.

Freudian slip there caveman! It's happening, Anything's Possibulllll!

The feedback from fans of other teams coming to visit this forum, has only further confirmed my opinion that Durant to GSW would be a strange move. Switching teams to a conference rival is just strange. I don't care how many playdates Durant had with Klay and his kids. Joining a team with another established MVP is strange, as is joining the team that just eliminated you. And Spears is a joke, can we get some legit journalists/insiders wtf?!
