Re: Durant
I would like to think that Durant mostly knew who he was going to choose before any meetings took place. But because they are all very good choices one way or the other he decided to see what it was like to be the bachelor for four days.
I bet he was a little surprised by the amount of influence each team had in their meetings. I wish there was a journalist following him around to write a piece about each meeting, so we could get some detailed information.
If he signs with OKC and Westbrook leaves next season I wonder how much that would play into that decision one way or the other.

good thing 99% of those posters doing that are posters that I never agree to begin wit. Gonna assume thats no coincidence.
FSN, do you never agree with me to begin wit? bc when I'm playing pickup I don't stack the deck; poor sportsmanship. that simple. GS would be a historically weird choice.

Hopefully the signing of Durant as a Celtic.
Well that's positive!

I think he had a very good idea of what he wanted to do even before the all star game and relayed as much. So did Woj. Kinda ironic that the Thunder were then eliminated by the Ws in a close WCFs.

It's officially the Fourth now. Time for KD to declare his independence from Westbrook!

Westbrook is basically Rondo if Rondo took 20 shots per night. I'd hate playing with him if I were Durant.
The fact that people have the gall to say that Westbrook is better than Durant must be ungodly irritating. Durant is an otherworldly talent who should be the prime offensive weapon for his team. And yet Westbrook controls the ball constantly to the detriment of that team.

Great analogy with Kobe and Dirk. Of course LeBron did set a precedence. What a doucebag LeBron is...

idc. all i know is, when lebron went to the heat -- wether he won or lost, we all had a good time, and we all watched it. And we got 3 out of 4 really entertaining finals experiencing it.

Re: Durant
Went over to Celticsblog to see what they had to say..In there Durant thread there is a poster named saltlover who claims to have sources. Anyone know if he's legit? He says throughout that his source says its between us and OKC. Media was floating GSW as the leader just to see what the public backlash would be. He claims Durant was ready to sign with us today but has a tough time leaving the org he's been with his whole career, etc.
Also random thought I just had....I find it interesting Bulpett of all ppl basically broke the news of the decision coming tomorrow instead of tonight. Before anyone in the national media or any of the guys Smitty was talking with. Find that odd??

GSW being constantly mentioned is logical because they are NBA and Media's golden boy. The league and the media would have a field day if KD signs there.

the finals were entertaining the last two years too, but I think people are trying to think about this from KD's perspective, not that of the fan at home?

we've had a good run of finals for the past 10 years. All in the super-team era. to me, that's not a random coincidence
and secondly, why? I'm a fan. Being a fan is most important to me.

Re: Durant
Two questions.
Is anyone worried that when they go to sleep Durant is going to paste his decision on the player's tribune site, so they are trying not to sleep?
I would like for Durant to sign of course, but I would also like to keep Amir and possibly Jerebko around. If that remotely possible?

1. yes
2. I don't think so, and as a result if we get KD I don't know who the hell our bigs are.
