ST: Royals @ Blue Jays | July 4-6

Post#1 » by Lateral Quicks » Mon Jul 4, 2016 2:08 pm

The Royals come to town for a three game series, with the Sanchize looking to get us off to a good start.

Game 1: Volquez (7-7, 4.80 ERA) vs Sanchez (8-1, 3.08 ERA)
Game 2: Young (2-7, 6.24 ERA) vs Dickey (5-9, 4.21 ERA)
Game 3: Kennedy (6-7, 4.04 ERA) vs Stroman (6-4, 5.08 ERA)

Two of three looks doable, as does a clean sweep.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Glad we got the Independence Day game in our great country. I went to the game Saturday and had tix for today but alas I cannot go and have them away. I absolutely hate KC. I want a sweep but will settle for 2/3. Hopefully I can see the end tonight.

I know Edwin is slow, but really seems like he should have scored on that hit.

Always sucks to have a guy like Volquez own us.

Is this the **** part of the game when the **** royals score all their **** runs?

This game is setting up perfect for Kansas City unfortunately. Close game and the Royals will win on a bloop infield inside the park home run.

I like how Tulo is looking like vintage Tulo since coming off the DL.

They don't call him Kevin "OBP King" Pillar for nothing...

He was heating up before the injury too.

Zeke seems to have really improved his bunt. So that's useful, at least.

And JD follows by swinging at the dirt. Nice

and then he gets a hit! My mind is everywhere.

If the Jays are insistent with playing with fire with Estrada's back and have him start this week, would this not be a good time to have Hutchinson replace Sanchez for the weekend start just so Sanchez can have about 2 weeks of down time with the all star break looming? There is no realistic way they can justify sending him to the BP if he keeps pitching like this and pretend that they are interested in winning this year. So if they are so worried about his workload then can give him an extended mid season rest which they are hellbent on not doing with Estrada.

JD so good. Amazing that he has better numbers this year so far compared to past.

Nice response to Morales' tying solo shot in the top half.

Let's see if Sanchize can go the distance.
