If Lance would be willing to be a super sixth man, I think a sign n trade with Memphis sending them Ellis could make sense. Save us enough cap to still sign a starting 3&d guy at the 2. But who's still out there?
Teague/Lance/Joey Buckets
FA/Lance/Stucky
PG/Miles/Glen
Young/Allen/Niang/Christmas
Turner/Big Al/Whittington
But who's still out there and how much does Lance cost?

Re: Offseason Wishlist: Summer 2016
I proposed Lance basically after the Teague trade and I am still not against it. On the other hand, I would like to see a couple of trades before they exhaust the cap space.
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=hxjd3r4
OUT: Monta, Christmas, and possibly a future pick
IN: Kenneth Faried
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=zywemza
OUT: Stuckey, Allen, and possibly a future pick
IN: Rudy Gay
Teague
George/Miles
Gay
Faried/Young
Turner/Jefferson
Top 8 is really good. Teams don't go much deeper in the playoffs. Decent mix now and you still have a little cap.

Only thing I can come up with that we could afford would be to overpay and steal JR Smith. Two birds one stone. Could really hurt them considerably having already lost Dely and Mozgov.

Re: Offseason Wishlist: Summer 2016
I don't think I'd overpay Smith though. We will need some level of flexibility moving forward. Let the Nets, Lakers, Portland and others keep digging a hole for themselves. No need to overpay if we are sitting on a competitive roster in need of a tweak or two. As long as we don't have our cap all screwed up it is possible that within the next season or two we may be able to lure a significant piece to play alongside PG, especially if our cap is in order. Paying Smith 17m per seems like a huge mistake.

Interesting to think what might have been if Lance had stayed. How would he have performed with Paul out after his leg injury? Do the Pacers make the playoffs and not get Myles Turner? Does David West still get sick of the young folks and go to SA? Do they blow up the whole thing?
I'm on record saying I want Lance back, so I'm all in on this rumor. I want it to be true so bad.

Re: Offseason Wishlist: Summer 2016
Why don't the Pacers trade everybody we just added to the Thunder to get Westbrook? He would play next to someone that is very close to KD and his chances to get to the NBA Finals are higher in the East than in the West, even with Cleveland as the Champ...Other than that, Teague is a FA next year, and Young, Jefferson and even Ellis (if we need to throw him in there) are all on very good contracts. They also still have a lot of Picks to give, even if Larry doesn't like to give picks away.
I know this is bold, and he would probably just be a Rental as everyone expects him to go to LA next year, but it's worth a shot as long as Turner stays.
Hey, it's a WISHLIST thread

^^In response to your sig, it wasn't a dunk, it was a charge, and Foster was nowhere near the rim, it's just an awesome-looking picture.

I was pretty sure it was a dunk, but I might be wrong. Definitely a charge though

Looks like New Orleans is movin on from Norris Cole. Might be out of our price range, but worth a look to me

Reported that Jarrett Jack taking the vet minimum to join the Hawks. He played at Georgia Tech, so a homecoming of sorts for him.

It's possible. Wouldn't be the first time Larry Bird has looked into bringing in JR Smith. As long as the money is right.
