Re: What now?
Westbrook and some subsequent moves could make us contenders against Cleveland. I'd just have to see how high the asking price got.

They do overrate our assets. However , I I agree that it should only be traded for a star and not if Russell refuses to sign for an extension. Anything other than that, then the 2017 Nets pick is on the table. That pick is only going to be traded for a star player.

Re: What now?
celtics should just go all in with there assetts and aquire talent now
Call up sac and offer Brooklyn pick in 2018, Multiple 1sts from boston , Jaylen Brown and Olnyk. for Cousins
Then Call OKC, offer Brooklyn 2017 pick and Marcus Smart, Rozier and James young for Westbrook
Isiah Thomas - Avery Bradley
Russell Westbrook - Avery Bradley
Jae Crowder Vet Free Agent
Al Horford - Amir Johnson
Demarcus Cousins - Amir Johnson
I think my trades offer fair value for those teams

No offense, but anyone saying "If Ainge does this or that, then I'm done" can head on out right now and don't let the door hit you on the way out. You lose all credibility with me as a fan when you say **** like that. If you wanna hop off the bandwagon then just do it now and save us all the time.

Re: What now?
If you can get Westbrook, a top 5 player in the league, for the Brooklyn pick swap and a couple of young players, of course you do it. No way is Westbrook signing an extension, especially with the cap exploding again next year. But we will be in the drivers seat for his future services. Full bird rights means we will be able to pay him more than anyone else and we won't have to preserve cap space to do it. Are we really concerned that he will jump to a Laker team that hasn't been to the playoffs in three years and doesn't look to be all that much better this season? Paul Pierce grew up in the shadows of Staples and never contemplated going to the Lakers, why should Westbrook be any different?

Re: What now?
Some of you don't get that Ainge isn't about building through the draft, period. It was clear as day for me after he picked Olynyk (a low ceiling role player at best) and was reluctant to trade Rondo away. Attempted to trade for Love and build around Rondo, then tried to sign Love the fallowing offseason. Shipped Rondo's ass out but then Crowder and IT emerged unexpected. Started to dream about Aldridge and Matthews, failed. Now it was Durant, Horford. Been constantly in talks about other all-stars. His mindset isn't set on building through the draft. Full tank might be his last resort if no FA or trade is available.
Tons of his worshippers here but suddenly he is a tool who doesn't know **** because we know better than him that Westbrook will not commit and he is destined to go to LA. Interesting logic...

Re: What now?
Finally someone said it too. Danny Ainge is not building through the draft. That should have been apparent a long time ago. I guess not. The moment Danny Ainge acquired the Nets picks, he was just binding his time and waiting for a star player to become available, so he can use it to trade for a star player. It hasn't happened yet, but it's going to eventually. Might not be this year, but it's going to happen soon.

Re: What now?
Westbrook is a great play but he isn't a good fit for us with IT. And I'm not giving up on Brown and the Nets picks for one year of Westbrook.
Westbrook couldn't win a tittle with KD.
Our guards are strong with IT, Bradley, Smart, and Rozier.
We need a very good big man. If we are trading Brown and the Nets picks, I rather do that for Cousins.
Thomas/Smart/Rozier
Bradley/Smart
Crowder/Bentil/Jonas
Horford/Mickey/KO
Cousins/Zizic

Blardy Aussies. Next level hate huh. I'm gonna have to brush you off, Adams would be a good fit here. Tough, hard nosed, blue collar player with upside.
Get rekt Aussie.
