i doubt it really, especially if that means losing JR smith. With Wade there wouuld be no spacing lol, unless if he magically comes in with a 40% 3pt shooting year lol. JR smith defense also has improved a lot playing under the Cavs. Just cant see how anyone can outscore the Warriors anymore. ITs not fair haha, they can all have an off night and still score over 100 points lol. It will be exciting to see how their chemistry is though!

He wants to get paid because Heat going nowhere in near future and they owe him , Cavs' situation is much more different, Wade will be willing to take another pay cut to build bigger legacy and additional rings, same as Lebron.

Wade to Cavs only works if JR is gone , at the moment JR suits the Cavs play style better with his good 3 and D , adding a third slasher in Wade could confuse the chemistry with Bron and Irving .

If Wade came to Cleveland, the Cavs will most likely still re-sign JR.

they can't. They didn't have bird rights to Whiteside, so to sign Whiteside to a max deal, they have to fit it under the cap, which means all of their other free agents have to either be renounced or sign enough under the cap to allow Whiteside to sign his deal. They could potentially move a player to free up more room, but they only have 4 players under contract right now (Bosh, Dragic, McRobers, Winsow)

Richardson and Weber are both already under contract so far as well. So the Heat have 6 players with Whiteside becoming the 7th officially shortly under contract so far. But really it's as simple as dumping McRoberts 5M salary in a trade and then they can offer up to 25M to Wade. That's pretty doable I'd think, and Spo never plays McRoberts anyways. But at his salary I think someone would take a chance on him.

Why would they pick one or the other? Wade can only get MLE (taxpayers) and they have JR's bird rights. One has nothing to do with the other (besides minutes, i guess). I guess the best thing about getting Wade is that Curry has no where to hide on defense anymore.

I doubt he ends up in Cleveland, but Miami has shafted Wade since Lebron went back to Cleveland. Miami unloaded the money truck to keep Chris Bosh from leaving, but gave Wade a paycut from what he would have made had not opt outed in 2014.

I can see D Wade join them via sign-n-trade. They part with unwanted contract such as Kevin Love. Miami has no choice, they can either take in or leave in. If Miami refuses, he's to wait the Cavs unloading the scrub. And Lebron has to sacrifice his contract to get him. And D Wade knows Miami has no future. He should bite on it and wait.

If they can dump Shumpert for cap space, they can probably sign Wade and keep Smith. I'm not super sure about their cap situation, but Shumpert makes 12 mils a year? Some1 here can do the math...
