Wade just looking for that 3rd year imo. Dude's 34 already and I am pretty sure he is looking for his Kobe legacy deal otherwise I could see him jumping ship to Cleveland. The 1+1 that the Durant/Lebron are signing just doesn't appeal to Wade because he is much older and more injury prone to be able to secure a super max contract next year from suitors.
Wade has terrible 3pt shooting in the RS but the past two post seasons he does step up in the playoffs when it counts.
2014-15 - 9/24 for 37.5% in 20 games.
2015-16 - 12/23 for 52.2% in 14 games.
So it is not like he can't make them, and in Cleveland he'd have much wider open looks because of the talent Cleveland has and the respect you need to have for his driving ability/mid range game.

If I were the Cavs, I'd want JR back first before D-Wade. JR plays a pivotal role.

Still have a hard time believing Wade will leave Miami. I think this Cavs noise is Wade using the best threat available to get Riley to give him what he wants.

Yeah signing Wade to that amount of money is actually the worse possible outcome for the Cavs.

What's stopping Lebron from giving Wade 50 mill to take the MLE from Cle? He's got 1 billion coming in from Nike, he can do it

More like what is keeping Lebron from taking a very small amount to give Cavs' space to sign both JR and Wade...

I'm good with that scenario as well, though I think it limits what they could then pay him next offseason.

Possibly, but again. What does Lebron care about more? Prossible Rings or making 20-30 million more from his player contracts when he has just signed a $1billion dollar contract with Nike.

He just wants the option to know he can make the max if he wants too? Idk lol. If Gilbert guaranteed him a Cavs Ownership % post retirement ala Jerry Buss/Magic I bet he'd sign for the vet min.

Is that even Leagal? Seems like the league would total step in and not allow something like that to happen.

Any team with tons of cap space take him already, Riley should offer a one year $5m deal to this clown.

Nothing really..he already exiled his coach to siberia at the snap of a finger . Seriously tho players paying other players under the table is a weird yet interesting talking point.

Re: D Wade on a private jet with Lebron and Dan Gilbert?
The only way I could see this happening, outside of Wade taking the mini-MLE simply out of spite, is the following:
1. The Cavs trade Shumpert to a team with cap space. They get an exception in return and possibly an asset like a cheap player or a pick. Shumpert is actually on a really team-friendly contract now. He's a decent player when he's healthy and is capable of providing the fabled "3&D." At worst, the Cavs would have to give up a second to offload him.
2. LeBron and JR both agree to take pay cuts in order to fit in Wade. People forget that JR is represented by LeBron's agent, so I see this as entirely possible. JR takes a pay cut this year in exchange for a bigger salary next. Technically against the rules, but basically impossible to prove. It's not illegal for a player to take a pay cut, either. JR can simply say that he wanted to stay with the Cavs and he wanted to make sure they could bring in Wade. As for LeBron, a week ago I wouldn't have believed he'd take a pay cut, but Durant going to Golden State could definitely change that. LeBron, of course, gets maxed out next year regardless, so him taking a one year pay cut to bring in his best friend requires no illegal agreement. He's getting whatever money he asks for every year.

It's illegal and the league could void the contract, prohibit the player from playing there, and take a bunch of draft picks. It almost happened to Brooklyn with the AK47 signing but then they realized that Boston already had all the Nets picks.

It seems like all parties are waiting on how DWade's situation shakes out. LeBron would be happy for his boy if he got a 2 year 50 mil or a 3 yr 60+ deal because it's likely DWade's last hurrah.
Right now nobody is bidding for Wade at that price primarily because it's just a bad deal and there are a ton of free agents on the market next year when the cap is likely to really go up.
But if nobody is giving Wade that money, I don't think he takes the Heat offer. I think jimmies have been rustled and unless Riley comes apologizing and begging, Wade is too prideful. In this case I think LeBron happily takes the cut and facilitates Wade signing on.

Personally, that would be pretty dicey on the part of Klutch. It's one of the hazards of blurring the lines. I mean I want my agent representing my interests first and foremost and JR's looking at his last significant contract.
