Hasn't he been signed to 40M/2 years by Miami already? Right after he tweeted something about relationships being important. Probably scared Riley that he'd bolt.

Report was that he was offered $40m/2, but no one reported they agreed on it. It could be silly rumor, but it seems Wade is on Gilbert's plane to Cleveland.

Same guy tracked Gilbert's plane when Lebron came back in 2014.

Edit: Owner or LyfeBrand, company that works with Wade

Wade wants to get paid. How are the Cavs going to do that? Unless he completely has changed his mind and is willing to do Lebron a favour, then I don't see it happening.

Marc Porcaro has updated player movement charts for each division. Nice to see it all in on graphic, I'm a little worried about the Sixers, Sergio Rodriguez and Jeryd Bayless replacing Ish Smith is not exactly a dominant off season so far. At this point they have not passed up the Nyets, got a lot more work to do.

Durant to Golden State, Wade to Cleveland

The NBA is officially La Liga.

Pathetic.

Here's one for the Central:
[tweet]https://twitter.com/MarkPorcaro/status/750271222731067393[/tweet]

Indiana might not be having the great off-season I'd thought.

Indy in: Thad Young, Al Jeff, Jeff Teague. Looks like a very nice group.

Indy out: Jordan Hill, Ian Mahinmi, George Hill, Soloman Hill. Probably an upgrade overall but that is some real losses as well.

https://twitter.com/MarkPorcaro/status/750271222731067393

Edit - I'd say Bucks/Bulls are close to a push so far, or very slightly upgraded the bench. Maybe Bulls slip without Pau.

Detroit continues to make a series of incrementally positive moves looks like.

This is why the NBA is about finding stars. Once you get the stars the role players are selling themselves to you. $2.9M for Zaza is unreal.

Word is several agents are calling the Dubs already saying their players are willing to take the minimum to join the team.

It takes a lot of prestige out of becoming a champion this way. Even the celebration becomes diminished. It´s like watching a movie that you know is going to have a happy ending. It takes the fun of the game. I dont want to be apart of something I already know the outcome of. We get up everyday because that uncertainty motivates us to work harder. Zaza is a fantastic player too. he could´ve easily gotten over 10 this year.

Personally, If Durant didn't come to Boston I wanted him to go to Golden State. I love having somebody to root against and now we have an Evil Empire. Will be awesome if they lose!!

Who's Atleti? Spurs?

If we can get Westbrook, imo, we can be Atleti :D
Good assessment:

Sign and trade with Love?

Kyrie
JR
Wade
Lebron
Thompson

Dragic
IDK
Winslow
Love
Whiteside

Guess it depends if Bosh is cooked or not, but I could see the Heat doing that if he is

Philly putting together an unwatchable team - Bayless/Henderson/Simmons/Noel/Okafor.

Some great talents in that frontcourt but that is just terrible roster construction as is. Badly need to move Okafor for some real shooting/passing on the perimeter.

Makes Toronto look like a real net-loser in this. If you're not getting better in this league, you're getting worse, and TOR has not added anything of note. Basically gonna swap Biyombo for Poeltl and call it a day. I suppose they'll get a healthy version of Carroll this year but barring some more material move they're in Treadmill Town.

Can the Heat still match Tyler Johnson?

Agree Philly needs to get on their horse now or they will end up substantially worse than BRK again. Or who knows, maybe that was all talk last year and they are straight tanking again.

David West to the Warriors for vet min, per David Aldridge. The ring-chasers are flocking to Oakland.

I'm less concerned about Philly being awful again. This upcoming draft has 4-5 potential true impact guys at the top with Tatum, Giles, Jackson, Fultz and and Rabb (I think he's gonna blow up, personally).

Looking around the NBA, the Sixers and Suns will likely be awful again (though PHX could be sneaky good if Bledsoe is healthy, given the breakout they saw from Booker). LAL spent a ton of money and will be less-bad than last year. Minny, NOP, ORL and NYK should all be better.

I still see the Nets as a bottom-5 team, probably bottom-3. I mean, we're lauding the likes of Jeremy Lin, Allen Crabbe and Tyler Johnson - these are guys who should be 6th/7th/8th men for teams and they will be carrying the load for them. RHJ is a nice piece, Lopez is always solid but they also lost their best player in Thad Young.

Even after their moves, you're looking at a rotation of:

PG/SG: Lin/Crabbe/Johnson/Whitehead/LeVert/Kilpatrick
SF/PF: RHJ/Bogdanovic/Booker/McCullough
C: Lopez

They have nobody who can defend in the backcourt (really no defenders at all save RHJ), no PF on the roster to speak of, and no shooting in the frontcourt to space the floor.

Plus, no idea if Atkinson has a clue how to coach. He spent four years under a crummy D'Antoni Knicks era and then was an assistant with Bud. That suggests he'll find a way for that team to put the ball in the hole, but based on D'Antoni/Bud and that composition of players, they might also be dead last in defensive efficiency.

Lastly, they're one injury from Lopez from being truly, truly awful. Not that I wish it on the guy but let's not pretend it's a 0% risk.

Boris Diaw traded to the Jazz. They've had one of the better offseasons so far. Gordon Hayward might not want to leave if they end up being competitive in the playoffs.

La liga has at least been somewhat competitive as of late. This league has no Atletico.

David West is pretty pathetic. Gold-digger.

Return to Boston Celtics
