I like it.
He obviously pushed CJM last year on the Blazers to become the player he is, hopefully he lights a fire under Stauskas or TLC other wise next year we can draft our PG and SG or trade one of the Bigs.

I've always been a fan of his game. Solid all around scorer, underrated athlete, moves without the ball, good midrange game, high character, high bball IQ.

Would have preferred a 1 year deal, but in the end I like the move.

No it would not. This is not 2009.

YES! More professional players that belong in the league!

so far 3 good small (wow 9-million is small now) signings. 6ers have more people who can put the ball on the floor, 6ers have more players with actual passing ability.

I think Henderson will be a greater threat than people believe due to the interior play of Okafor.
Make them respond to your way of playing not the other way around

Don't hate it - would have preferred a 1 year deal plus a team option though.

Honestly I prefer this much more than shelling out a less forgiving multi-year deal for a one dimensional player like Crabbe. Or even worse, for Waiters.

We don't have the details, yet. It might actually be this. Or a 2nd year might only have a partial guarantee. I'm willing to wait and see. Even if it's 2 yrs guaranteed, it's not horrible in this market.

True, I just assumed 2 yrs guaranteed as nobody has expressly noted any other detail.

Signing bona fide NBA players during free agency is like a breath of fresh air. Good to see Colangelo getting the franchise off the mat finally.

Henderson is better than his stats last year. He had some good games against us when he played for the Bobcats. I like the move.

Shooting is still a problem. I guess it comes at a premium these days.

i personally don't think it does/ think they can still go for more "vets" or a crabbe and just cut ties with some of the players from last year instead during camp but who knows...

and there is always the possibility of a trade of one of the bigs...

I think it has to end FA for us. And it fits with BC's stated goal of maintaining cap flexibility, something that signing Crabbe would not, if the 4 yr huge offer from Brooklyn was legitimate. I don't think the Rudy thing is on the table anymore either, but I guess we'll see. That would be a lot more likely than Crabbe at this point. I think that's just wishful thinking from fans who want to bandwagon latch onto every hot name FA just because other teams are looking at them.

Frankly, I think BC has done the right thing. Limit free agency to 1 to 2 yr deals, plug a couple of holes, wait for the right trade for Noel/Okafor. Even at this rate, they're going to have to waive Landry and Marshall. Brett Brown loves Hollis. The only expendable roster space at this point belongs to Stauskas.

I think it's more likely they waive Holmes than Landry. Of course, if they deal Okafor (or Noel), then that could open up a roster spot. And Marshall is definitely gone no matter what.

You think so? Holmes has shown such potential and while Landry is a solid pro, he has zero future on this team. Holmes is signed for low dollars and team options for the next few years. I don't see how BC would keep Landry over him.

Landry fits the vet mentor high character thing they are after right now. And while Holmes can make some spectacular plays, he can also make some really bad ones. And he flat out cannot defensive rebound. Bryan might tend to see him as one of Hinkie's pet projects he doesn't want or need to invest in since they are moving the process forward.

With that being said... I don't believe they go in to the season with both Noel and Okafor on the roster. So the deals that are probably forthcoming might make room for Holmes to stick around.

I'm late,
Like the signing, it's exactly what this team needs. Both Bayless and Hendo are solid vets, professionals at what they do. Henderson is a class act, and a very smart basketball player. We needed this badly, i'm very happy with this in terms of balancing out the roster.
Surround Simmons and these young guys like Noel, Okafor, Embiid with some proven vets and we should have a decent competitive season. Not saying we'll make the playoffs, but both Bayless and Henderson will improve this team while providing some veteran leadership.

I'd be surprised if Henderson isn't the starting sg come opening night.

I really like this signing. Our only backcourt player next year that consistently plays defense.

Gerald sounds calm and experienced, sets a good example for the others.
