D Wade on a private jet with Lebron and Dan Gilbert?

Dan Lebatard seems to think if Miami called his bluff and he signed with Denver that he would end up being traded to the Cavs in December 8-)

. This has been one crazy off-season.

Forgive me for this dumb question as I'm no expert on contracts. If Lebron wants Wade so bad, why doesn't he just sign for peanuts which would allow for Wade to sign with the Cavs right off the bat? No need for complicated sign with Denver and trade scenarios down the road, losing assets in the process.

If Lebron's Nike deal is supposedly worth a billion dollars, he could surely afford to lose 20-30M next year which wouldn't make his pocketbook that much lighter. What am I missing here?

the fact that it would go against everything Lebron has been preaching since 2014 about ensuring players get paid their worth.

If you're going to go conspiracy, go all the way. LBJ and AV worked it out so that AV would play poorly when it really mattered in the Finals.

But would this be technically possible? He wouldn't be the first to be taking a paycut for the betterment of the team, although the example that I'm using is a drastic one. Say Lebron decides to sign for the league minimum, would this allow for DWade to get his 25M with the Cavs? The league is already a farce, how would this ploy going to do additional damage lol.
