Lin didn't play backup PG that much. He played some PG for sure, but mostly played SG. I think over 60 percent of the time he was on the floor he wasn't in the PG position. I'd say Lin was more "6th man combo guard" than backup PG. Sessions plays fine and doesn't have as many off games. But the on-games Lin had, he carried the team at times. If Sessions can do that, then he can provide what Lin did. In so many games, Lin stepped up. Especially for an injured Batum. At any rate, sometimes someone on the bench, regardless of who it is, will have to step up big. I think Sessions can facilitate just fine, and his April numbers are very impressive both in points and assists.

Knows Cliff and Kemba... will not be asked to play the same role as Lin last year. I look for Sessions Belly to split Lins minutes and duties this year. Sessions will only be playing like 10- 12 minutes a night.

While Belly takes over as the main wing off the bench...

Look for our 9 man rotations to be something like this

Kemba (40) Sessions (8)
Batum (24) Belly (20) Sessions (4)
MKG (36) Batum (12)
Marvin (30) Frank (18)
Cody (28) Hibbert (14) Frank (6)

Lamb and Hawes as our main injury fill ins...

Getting that second year as a team option was so clutch by Cho... really impressed with his offseason... did not panic and did a good job replacing our guys.

Sessions ain't getting so little minutes...
He'll play between 15 - 20 min.

Agree here..Session will do the job as the main facilitator off the bench but he probably will be less effective if given additional minutes to play alongside Kemba as a shooting guard.

Also, as you stated, Lin is very explosives..When Lin goes off, he has the potential to really carry a team to a wins..This is where he's probably better than Session.

Session may be a bit more consistent than Lin as for his bad nights, but will not have has many explosives scoring nights as Lin, specially with less time...Lin being able to play alongside Kemba afforded him the time to have these huge night.

Session, on the other hand, will probably have less impactful games because of lesser minutes...
