sigh. What really sucks is that the Magic wanted him the year before with the 12th pick but he stayed in Europe. Then, the next year, we wanted him again but the Knicks took him the pick before :(

Knicks lucked into his ass. Did no scouting and Phil just shows up and takes him.

Oh well.

Gotta imagine we still wouldn't know what we had with Kristaps if we had gotten him last year.

I'd see him around 8-12 MPG and getting pulled every time someone scored in the vicinity of him. Stuck behind Smith/Nicholson/ect.

New York was a great situation for him.

Also goes to show that Rob and his team are pretty terrific when it comes to scouting (not like we didn't already know that).

Shame Phil lucked into him.

True, Skiles would've said he's too thin to play and would've sat a lot.

I'm happy with Mario, though.

The future is bright 8-) Payton said. ``I just want to keep getting better and maybe one day I can be the all-time all assists leader for the Magic.’’

And we wanted smart the year before he came out but he changed his mind. We could've had smart, Gordon, porzingis, hezonja

Sucks we didn't end up with Porzingis but thank god we didn't end up getting Marcus Smart. He is sooooooooo bad.
