Maybe this team should do whatever it takes to get Russell Westbrook over here? So when Durant is done cheating his way to a title, he'll want to rejoin his partner in crime and do it the right way, both in a Clippers uniform?

No doubt every other team is thinking the same thing, but we probably have the most attractive assets to offer OKC out of all of them.

That's an idea.... RW to LA, CP3 somewhere else (he's more likely to sign a 5 year max on his new team than RW), and 3rd team's pieces to to OKC.

Example
LAC trade
CP3

OKC trade
RW

BOS
BRK 1st Round Picks 2017
Isaiah Thomas
Other loot

We trade old superstar for young and have an excellent chance in resigning RW imho.

BOS gets an older superstar to pair with Al Horford and upcoming Jaylen Brown (or not if he's shipped out). CP3 is much more likely to re-sign since he's older. The main issue is that BOS will prolly be locking themselves into a perpetual 2-4 seed team until Horford and CP3 become ineffective due to age. And if they denude themselves of future BRK picks or Brown doesnt pan out they have no way of getting over the hump.

OKC would jump all over the trade. We go from old to young and need to rely on trying to re-sign RW. it's risky either way, but we all know Doc is too **** to even try to broker such a deal. The biggest problem of having a coach/GM is the direct interaction with players can overly influence his personnel moves often to the detriment to the long term of the team. See Rivers, Austin, Crawford, Jamal.
