Changed basketball culture around in Miami. Singlehandedly turned South Florida into a basketball city. Miss you GOAT.

Wade is pretty much done anyway. $20m/yr for him is just silly at this point. No upside his ts% dropped horribly after lebron left.

I think he's making a big mistake in the long run financially

Haven't posted here in years but saw this news on twitter and felt like I lost a family member. I've watched nearly every game of his career and will always appreciate what he's done for the Heat. Dwyane Wade, Godspeed brother, enjoy the final chapter in your career and do well. Thank you for the memories and all the work you put in to this franchise!!

D Wade is one of my top 5 players and maybe the one whom I felt the most emotional attachment. I've watched him grow and become an unstoppable force, ferocious, fearsome. He gave everything to the Heat. We had 13 years of gifts and will know in the next couple years how much their absence will mean.

I wish you the best, D Wade. It will be hard to root for the Bulls, who I've never especially liked, despite their tremendous history, but I will root for you.

Good luck!

(but not too good)

Unbelievable.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

Thank you

You were my hero growing up. The GOAT basket ball player. The reason I love the game.

You mean more to me than you'll ever know.

I'm ready to move on though. We've been hanging on for too long when we're more than a few pieces away from contending again.
Good luck D. Till we meet again.

Dru Smith very lucky he got that 500k this year. He should invest and manage a subway after all this-MettaWorldPanda

No kidding. This is a bigger surprise to me than Durant honestly.

This move has left me stunned.

Horrible move on Pat & Mickey, could never forgive them for this. Still a Heat fan but I will root for Wade out in Chicago & glad he didn't sign with Cleveland. He went home & can't fault him for that. Y'all clowns got what y'all want, a team full of nobodies to build cap space... We couldn't really trade McBob? Are you **** serious? :banghead:

My first hometown sports hero. AI made me wanted to pick up a basketball when I was 7, but Wade made me want to give myself to the game as a kid. I spent so many hours trying to pull off his moves at the court by myself, and getting the chance to use them on grown ups in pick up games and other kids in aau gave me confidence as a youngster. I'll never forget how much I sweared at the TV every time I felt like a ref missed a foul on D Wade in the 06 playoffs, or the amount of chest pounding I did at the conclusion of game 6 in the finals. I begged my high school coach to let me wear #3 lol. As a young man, I've been spoiled watching two more title runs. Still watching those between the legs step back jumpers, windmail crossovers on the break, fake spin fadeaways, and all that other d wade stuff. And now its over.

Stuff like this makes me feel like im getting old, even though im not. im really sad. I really hope he doesn't get booed his first trip back. I respect that guy, and hope he enjoys the rest of his career. Glad I got to watch him do some hero stuff in a heat jersey one last time this past postseason. this really sucks, but its for the best.

Pat Riley did Wade dirty. I thought he was a Heat for life. What an odd off-season this year

you guys are better than me....wade can kiss my ass.... I don't seem to see a logical reason for him leaving. money this money that. He handled this thing like a diva and the bulls can have him.
