Very sad day. Favorite athlete of all time. Its crazy but feels like I lost a family member. In his return game to Miami, I want a 5+ minute standing ovation. He deserves a statue. Sucks it had to come to this, both parties will miss each other. Wish Wade all the best in Chicago, Ill be watching him.

he leaves for an extra 3 1/2 a year? Hauls his family outa a town he basically grew up in? I need to hear the entire story but whatever riley did couldn't have been that ridiculous. I have a hard time believing it.

My favorite player of all time. The reason I started following the league closely. The reason I became a Heat fan. Greatest Heat of all time.

Thank you, D-Wade.

Wade must have seriously felt disrespected at some point by Heat management. Not sure what it was, but Wade clearly was out to make a point by signing elsewhere.

Still gonna don my Wade jersey with pride. Not sure I'll be able to spend my cash on a bulls jersey though regardless of the name on the back. I'll support quietly. But I'm still a Heat fan.
Good luck Dwyane, 06 finals was a highlight for me.

He's always been a Diva. What changed was the relationship with the guys up top. The Sports Business is cruel and we're seeing it first hand.

Yeah, this is his appreciation thread, so it's entirely classless to act like a butthole. Give it a break. We got 3 championships... EVERY championship we ever had... from his efforts. He was a great teammate and a good mentor for our young players.

SO... take your crap elsewhere. Please.

There was only 3 shooting guards with a higher per than Wade

Harden , butler, and Thompson

Past his prime, still a factor in the game...Heat GOAT

There were 5 lifers at the end 2011(start of the LeBron era) in(Kobe, Dirk, Tim D., Paul P., D-Wade). All of them had different situations. Some had the luxury to stay and others were dealt with. Like Ainge I think Riley had the balls to let go when it really mattered but unlike him he neither got value from his lifer at the end. Dirk, Kobe, and Timmy D all had impact on the roster state going forward and I think Riley whether for good or bad decided Wade shouldn't do that to Miami.
He will be missed as the last great Florida star(even though he's from another state)
The Greatest of All Time debate in basketball is essentially who has the greatest basketball resume of the player who has the best highlights instead of who is the best player

It was all Iggie's fault. They are blaming it on McRoberts, but it was Iggie all the time.

p.s. Thanks for your kind thoughts.

take this whiny PC soft attitude to the general board bro. Free country and I can say what I want. It's not hard to see especially with the new bulls - cavs trade that bron colluded with wade to force mickey to either force mcroberts out or spend over the cap. I would have been cool trading mcroberts but what was the rush?

There shouldn't be an expectation that mickey has to spend past the cap. That's silly. Dwade isn't lebron james and the kobe bryant situation was totally different considering nobody was on the team for them to sign anyways.

this dude went out like a diva and people deserve to be pissed. he went out like an idiot for 3 1/2 extra Ms. Clown

Wow I'm not even a Heat fan, but I know what it's like to lose the franchise. Can't believe the Heat lost him.

Wade in any other uniform just will not look right
