Proud of this team for fighting when most counted us out.

Seager doubles in the first, keeping his streak to 18 games now, and picked up by Gonzo's RBI single. well oiled machine, man well oiled machine.

Re: 2016 Regular Season Thread
****. I was watching the game on my phone app during lunch, then suddenly after work at 5 PM, i caught the bottom of 13th inning. stopped all of my paper work to watch the end just to lose the game in a heartbreaker. Hatcher should have had a better at bat as he swung at obvious balls and made a weak contact when the balls and strikes count was against him. still, was a good game, and can't wait for tomorrow's season debut of Ryu, finally.
ehhhhh f it.

Re: 2016 Regular Season Thread
man it is hard to hate on Puig and think we are better off trading his ass away, when he pulls off something like that time to time, while his contract being so team friendly. but those are the exact same reasons why he brings more in return in the market too.

Re: 2016 Regular Season Thread
Just finished moving all my stuff and starting in a new city (I'd rather not say where unless over PM. I want to be more cautious)
Took a few days to get some internet.
4-5 straight days of no Dodgers and screaming at the ESPN Game Feed...then switching to MLB.com's game feed and screaming at my Iphone screen.
Just glad to be back. Glad to be able to watch my Dodgers.

Re: 2016 Regular Season Thread
I am not liking Maeda's stuff today despite that K to Melvin.
first pitch was a 88 mph flat fastball right down the middle, although that's where Grandal wanted. velocity is too hittable right down the middle like that.
second pitch was 90 but missed the target too high.
third was a slider and missed it way too far outside
fourth was also missed the target badly, too inside and too high up. the target was mid high about 6 inches inside the plate.
the 5th pitch got the K.
now the second consecutive K.
good to see Grandal leading him with the fastball, but man his control...

Re: 2016 Regular Season Thread
now he is hitting the target perfectly and they were all 3 balls, thanks to Kemp swinging at the third, with the fourth consecutive curves and the last one hitting the zone, Maeda got away with a fastball right down the middle to a pop up fly to the RF.
looks like Kenta's got his curve under pinpoint accuracy, but his slider and fastball are not quite sharp today. good job by Grandal recognizing that immediately and calling accordingly. and Kenta has got to save his sliders until the second or even third time around to last longer with his starts.

Re: 2016 Regular Season Thread
Kenta gave up a hit but he has pitched much better in the second so far. his fastballs are now hitting the target just as well as his curves.
now his 3rd K with a high fastball after keeping the hitter's eye level down! great pitching with a 89 mph stuff!

Re: 2016 Regular Season Thread
Guys I hope you get to read this post sandwiched in my solo game thread ranting later but we really have got to employ a 6 men rotation for the rest of the season when Kershaw is back.
Kershaw just got a steroid epidural for his "mildly" herniated disk
Kazmir seems to be still ailing from his previous injury
Norris is not good enough for us to gain anything for every 5th day start
McCarthy surely can use an extra day off
Ryu truly needs to take his time coming back. if anyone needs a 6 men rotation, it's him and McCarthy.
although Maeda today is dominant so far with a 4 day rest, but he went 4 innings with 88 pitch count the last start. when looking at the game log on fangraphs and the difference between his 4 day rested starts versus 5 or more days rested starts are staggering. it's a difference between seeing an average pitcher versus a dominant ace. in 44.2 innings of pitching with more rests, he gave up 12 earned runs. that's about 2.4 ERA. this is with 2 games he gave up 4 runs each, so the rest of the other starts he was flat out monster. we need more of this version of Maeda. not your so-so ran average starter Maeda.
