Honestly, at this point, Wade has probably, year in, year out done the best thing for Miami that he could, including now.

Anyway you slice it, our championship window closed the day Durant chose Warriors, and signing Wade will put us as a ceiling top 4 team in the conference, with major health concerns every year.

This is Wade ripping off the bandaid for us, we will probably thank him like Detroit did when Chicago signed Ben Wallace.

I love the guy - favourite player of all time, and I could still see him changing his mind if the Heat make a last second push and would be happy to watch Wade the rest of the way out in Miami, despite what I've said above, but this is probably the best thing for Miami to win going forward.

Organisationally, it looks horrible and sends a bad message about how we treat players.

Thanks for the memories. The first Heat game I went to was Game 6 vs Indy in Wade's rookie year. Been a great ride since then. Lots of ups and downs, but all things must pass. This is best for both parties imo.

I'm stunned. More shocking thanthan Durant to gsw. Hopefully he can return in a few years and finish his career as a Heat. Why couldn't miami give him more money though? I kept hearing they would need to trade Mcroberts but didn't they have Wades bird rights so they should have been able to give him $50M anyway, No?

Absolutely loathe how everything went down this offseason....and quite frankly, it's saddening. For it to come down to this is a surprise, but nonetheless I thank this dude for everything he brought to this franchise. He's a huge reason why I became such a diehard Heat fan and NBA fan in general. Thanks for 13 years of bliss my dude!

They agreed to pay Whiteside the max so they will have to renounce Wade to sign him and they also seem to be looking to keep TJ, which reduces the available cap to around $18-20mil to sign Wade.

This is shocking to me. I'm not even ready to write any sort of tribute. Why did Riley let this happen??? This throws all the talk of loyalty out the window now.

Blob Barkley must be laughing his ass off. U know will find a way to go off on the fans more so than the organization.

Oh please. Where is team and fan loyalty to players when that player tears up his knee or snaps his leg in half and his career is over? He's thrown out on the street and loyalty means nothing.

Players owe fans and teams nothing. Business is business. And honestly were you upset about LeBron being disloyal when he left the Cavs for the Heat??? Be consistent.

Can a mod change the title and get his name spelled correctly? No respect.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

I wish the Heat would stop the "HeatLifer" bs. It's just PR and doesn't mean anything.

Say what?!

Where did Wades fortune come from, buddy? Us. The fans pay the players salaries and we support and defend these guys through thick and thin.

If you're gonna go that route than I do not wanna hear anyone bad mouthing Riles for go out and trying to get the top free agent to make our team into a title contender. Business is business and winning is first priority for Mickey and Riles. Wades was the money.
