3 team trade idea

Throw in some of our future draft picks and pow. We have our superstar set up and we might be taking a risk with Westbrook, but hoping he likes the idea of reteaming up with Love and playing with the young Drummond.

Thoughts?

An eternity of draft picks isn't making this one happen.

Cmon now. That'll never happen. Westbrook isn't coming to or staying in Detroit.

Damn guys, i didn't think the value was bad considering. Detroit would probably say no to the RW trade as a 1 season rental is not worth RJ+SJ

I think RJ + Stanley + picks is a better haul than most of the stuff in this link. That's what gave me the idea.

And yeah. Long four months.

initially i balked at this trade but it kind of works out.

cleveland would want to get rid of love so they trade for tobias who might not be as talented but is more versatile than love and morrow is another sharp shooter they can use at the end of their bench.

OKC starts their rebuild by getting a locked up reggie and a decent prospect in stanley. they would definitely have to have a pick or more included though.

so that part of it makes sense, i just don't think we have enough talent to offer back to match what players we'd be getting in return.

TBH, I don't like it for us. We get the better talent for right now, but we'll be worse off in 1 yr when Westbrook bolts and we're stuck with Kevin Love instead our starting PG/SF and best young prospect in Stanimal.

We're not a logical destination for Westbrook. He's almost certain to bolt Detroit. But if it weren't for the history, Reggie and Stanley are a reasonable offer based on the fact it's one year and then a major flight risk.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy
