JulesWinnfield wrote:You listen to woj tell it, the Bulls are serious as hell about Wade and are burning up the phone lines trying to find a taker for Calderon and/or dunleavy to create even more space for him. Other reports are saying they are prepared to go to a 3rd year.

Man... Rewind time back 5 years, come with me to 2011 and tell people that in 2016 Lebron will have already returned to Cleveland and won a ring for them. Derrick Rose would be a Knick. Dwayne Wade and Rondo would be the starting backcourt in Chicago. Oklahoma City will be without Durant, Harden AND likely Westbrook too if he gets dealt (seems likely). Dwight Howard, still a beastly 1st team all NBA player would be working on team number 4. Steph curry would have 2 mvps in the bank...Each of those things would seem preposterous, never mind all of them... This is the most predictable league, but it still takes crazy turns. Only thing that seems constant is San Antonio is going to be in the mix.

Good post and what a weird end to the Big 3 (obviously it all ended first when Bron left). But Bosh gets blood clots 2 years in a row, Wade leaves and Bosh may never play another game again. Life really does come at you fast. I remember the night of "The Decision" pretty vividly...and here we are in 2016.

Duns looked pretty roached after coming back from the injury last year, but he can still hit an open shot. James Jones role I guess.

Coming off back surgery (dunleavy) which cost him most of last year, but he was healthy to finish the year. Will be 36. 2 years 10 mil (total) on his deal. Can still stroke it. Just another shooter. I mean I'm fine with it. Probably unplayable vs golden state though. Nice extra body for the marathon of 82

Oh no...

If this required them to give up Cedi Osman, a great Turkish prospect, then this is a HORRIBLE trade... knowing the Cavs / GM LeBron, I won't be surprised :nonono:

UPDATE: Thank goodness!

RJ just announced via snap chat that he's returning on a two year deal.

Mike Dunleavy is a very nice acquisition.

Obviously injured last year and wasn't very good.

But in 14/15 he was a +3.33 RPM. He's 6-9 not a bad defender (above average) and an excellent spot up shooter. In a bench role for 20mpg he will be killer I think.

RJ 2 year 5 mil

So they used most of their mini mid level. So they are re signing Lebron and JR and that's the offseason. Unless another trade comes available (they have some trade exceptions left, biggest 4.8mil) they are done.

I just hope Kyrie can take a big step this year. They're gonna need it. There's no reason he can't. I'm still banking on him having another level he hasn't shown us yet. Still just 24, coming off the confidence builder of his great postseason run and now going through the dream team experience this summer which usually seems to provide a boost. He's a better player than Steph was at this age

So I guess it's gonna be..

Rondo
Wade
Butler
Gibson
Lopez

Mirotic (autocorrect was moronic) as 6th man?

Looks good to me.

Is Chicago now a greater threat to the Cavs in the East over anyone else or is it NYK or TOR?

Rondo/Wade is a very poor fit, but if they can focus the team around Butler/Wade then yeah.

We might actually see a Wade vs Lebron playoff series

Lmao. Rondo and Wade should be hilariously fun to watch.

Outside of Mirotic, can anybody on the entire Bulls roster consistantly hit a 3ball? That is not going to go over well once the playoffs arrive.

Bulls, Everyway really. I think you guys are gonna be poor on both ends. Offensively you look horrible, you have no shooting. You need to trade rondo mid season somehow i think. Will knicks even make playoffs? Probably not.

Toronto are actually quite a good team.

I know you must be pretty happy about signing wade, think i remember you saying hes your favourite player and hes from chicago but your roster is put together very poorly. I see it being a rough year. You guys should have gone after barbosa i think.

Things can change and you can upgrade your roster but now its not great. I like wade and buckets together but add rondo and the 3 together fit horribly.

The reason I think Rondo fits is that he isn't a scorer that will be Jimmy and Wade, Rondo will just orchestrate the offense. I wish though we still had Gasol though.
