Brah, I wouldn't let anyone do ANY of my friends like that..... yet Wade didn't care how LBJ did Pat Riley and the Heat.

I did find this amusing during this whole ordeal

[tweet]https://twitter.com/itsgabrielleu/status/748967933905342466[/tweet]

I think that's how Pat felt about Lebron  Wade was cool with it though and this is how it all ends.

brah... that's straight GOLD. Nice find.

Yeah.. Wade all offended over this....... but had nothing to say when Lebron's official meeting with Riley was Lebron watching a football game while Riley sat nearby and tried to talk to him about coming back to MIA.

This why I got no tears to shed for Wade. He chose Lebron over Pat and the Heat. Wade lost his moral compass somewhere in the past 5 years.

wish u were around the boards when that tweet happened. that's when the grumpiness started for some of us. these little subtweets are the types of things only heat fans noticed or cared to read into at the time, because wade leaving was on nobody's radar. only heat fans had a reason to hold a magnifying glass over all that stuff. we cared about where wade wanted to sign before the rest of the country. for me that's what hurt the most in all this. feels like he used us, but nobody around the league will understand because they just don't care. they only see "guy wants respect, guy goes home." That becomes the narrative to the rest of the country regardless of which party was wronged, regardless of who acted out of line.

Regardless, all of us saw what wade was doing. what Gabrielle Union tweeted. Alarming tweets from wade's clothing partner from Lyfe (it's clear to me now that he was acting oblivious after he tweeted "Miami is gonna puke." The guy tried to walk it back after heat fans were tweeting at him by saying something along the lines of "I meant that it's the 4th of July. People are gonna be drunk and puking"). Wade following the Cleveland Cavs (again) on instagram. These things feel premeditated in hindsight, as if they're all in a room (or on a yellow phallic boat) discussing how to **** with the FO (and inadvertently us) and it's rubbed me the wrong way.

that's not to say that pat riley didn't act out of line. truth is, none of us knows the WHOLE story, none of us heard what was discussed between Wade, Riley, arison, ellisburg, henry thomas.

that's also not to say that anybody owes anyone anything (between wade and the FO). It's free agency, after all. And wade doesn't owe this fanbase.

One can say, however, that we owe dwyane wade, for what he has brought to us. That is an entire separate conversation (that has already been carried out at length on the free agency threads). My take on this, is that we are Miami Heat fans, and those are some of the classiest fans on the planet (despite how were painted, we've sold incredibly well since lebrons departure), and we should treat him along the lines (better) than we treat lebron returning here. I for one, will clap instead of boo (but I won't be mad at you if you do!)
All that being said, as a Miami Heat fan, I'm disappointed in how some of us are talking in this thread. You can say "**** wade" in any other thread on these boards from here on out, but all I'm saying is, in this thread, let's put some respekk on his name.

Grumpy Heat Fan, I love Dwayne Wade, but you make a lot of sense. It was very hard for me to see Wade so friendly with LeBron James after what James did to Heat fans and to Pat Riley in particular. I don't think this last vacation that James and Wade took helped out either. The irony is that what Wade has now left his Heat fans and James has returned to his Cleveland fans - Wade lost the greatest asset he had over James. Wade has lost more than he knows .....and the heat have lost something that will be very difficult to replace.

Pat Riley it's time for you to retire. You're no longer the "Don".

Glad you're getting the money we couldn't give you, but I would have preferred you go to Denver to get over 50 mil.

My thoughts exactly. I know I post on here as tony fiorentino and its fun & jokes, but in reality I'm a guy in his mid-20s who would not care as much about the NBA and frankly the game if not for him. I watched Timmy and Zo but didn't really know what was going on. He gave me a reason to give a phuck. For that I have to thank him forever.

Remember in 2010 when wade was in the meeting with Chicago and somebody bought the domain to that website that he tweeted and posted that wade highlight video? That's the d wade I'll remember with the most affection.

Let's not pretend as if LeBron didn't have a hand in this. He probably encouraged Wade by showing him the financial benefits of returning "home". His brand will be able to market the hell out of it and endorsements wise this could be interesting for him.

I guess Li-Ning is paying much.

I bet when Wade signed his shoe contract with that Chinese company, they offered 200 Million and Wade signed it thinking it's 200 Million US Dollars when it was, in fact, 200 Chinese Yuans.

People hating on Wade need to remember without Wade Heat are without any titles...

LeBron would have never chosen Miami if Wade wasn't there and Shaq would have won title with Miami if Wade didn't carry the team in the playoff...

What disrespect 2/20 offer when Mozagov is getting 4/64 million and scrubs getting close to 20 million ... Beal who injured more often then Wade got 5/130 ...I would rather give Wade 2/55 then give Beal that much money..

Remember Wade was Heat best player in the playoff ... He out played Demar in the quarter finals ..

Return to Miami Heat
