Miami Heat are gonna be underrated

Post#1 » by rallydurham » Thu Jul 7, 2016 4:38 am

I predict they are the most underrated team in the league.

Still looks like a playoff team to me.

Winslow should improve drastically. Dragic can handle the increased load. Richardson is perhaps already as good as Wade. And they still have whiteside. I think they should match for Tyler though otherwise it's too hard to get a replacement until bosh comes off the books

I hope we lose a lot of games and get a decent draft pick!

No, no. We're in real trouble. We lost Wade, Deng, Joe Johnson, and maybe Tyler Johnson too. That's 3 starters, mate, and an energy guy off the bench. Also Bosh is still likely down. We don't have to tank, because we're a 25-30 win team at this point and the good free agents are gone.

I remember 11-30 with these guys. ^

Hopefully not too underrated. We need to get Josh Jackson.

I think winslow would make for an awesome pf. Especially if his jump shot is fixed by next season (he shot great from 3s at duke). He can guard any position and he's got playmaking ability.

Richardson can handle either the 2 or 3 as the starter.

Dragic can up his usage rate easily. He was under utilized.

Whiteside still a monster out there.

You just need one more wing and for McRoberts to find his game and I think it's still a 40+ win team

We do not have a closer.. maybe Rich/JT/Winslow but that is asking alot of youngins... Hassan showed some flashes but he was not the primary option....
Next season we should find out what we have with our promising youngsters..

We have no business trying to compete this year, it's a perfect timing for a hard tank. Get a high upside player, bounce back in free agency next year.

In theory, I agree with you, but I hate to waste an entire season just to play dice. (See: Beasley)
If next year's draft is so loaded, I think we can still find a Winslow or a JRich with a pick between 10-15.
I rather Heat reach the playoff as an 8th seed and play the Cavs, no matter the outcome.

We'll see after the first 20 games or so if Heat has what it takes to make it to the playoff.

we are basically the Detroit Pistons right now. No superstar but enough potential to win some games. I say we go after Ian Clark or Scotty Hopson for scoring, try to get Metta World Peace for the min (that guy is really smart high IQ guy needs to be a coach someday) If you ever hear the former Artest talk about basketball you will be blown away at his technical knowledge and understandng. he would be great to work with a young core and he can fix all the things that Spo cant see.

unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

Thats what you and most heat fans thought lets not be foolish and try and sport some 8-9th seed squad. Either go all in or rebuild. Not sure why some are so hell bent on a first round exit at best. The young guns already have playoff experience. Nab the pick we have next year and see who we can sign in 2017.

Don't worry about that the heat are going to be really bad less than 25 wins.

Yet even with a 2 man roster, we'll always overthrown the Sixers.

I think next season we'll reach 40 wins... and that's very average.... we don't have 3 point shooting worth a damn... and Dragic is the only one who can create his own shot.

We need to just play and not overachieve this year. We need a lottery pick. 20-30 wins please. I'm sick of Papa Johns anyways.

Excited to see if Goran/Whiteside can handle headlining a team, they could be a scoring wing away from a middle tier team or borderline Playoff team

Interested in seeing how they fill roster or empty it, cause they will need to empty to tank (If it ever comes across). I'm excite

We are definitely gotten significantly worse from last year however I can still see us making the Playoffs this year depending how we fill out the bench, Bosh's status, and hoping at least 1 D-Leaguer we acquire becomes our new TJ. Briante Weber got potential and Derrick Williams is a decent start. You best believe that Rook 1 and Rook 2 will get better this year, especially with the increased offensive workload. Dragic will push the pace like he always wanted and we have the personnel to do so because all of our slower players are gone. I pray to God that Whiteside doesn't Bynum us; if he doesn't, we are in for a treat. However, Dragic and co. needs to do a much better job finding Whiteside consistently like Wade did. No matter how much Whiteside got paid, I know in his heart that he knows he can produce much more offensively if given the touches. Bosh is a toss-up, but if he isn't available in a way that we need him to be then we ain't making no Playoffs.

You don't need bosh just to make the playoffs. It's kinda absurd how overrated d wade is now, he wasn't a big part of this team anymore in terms of production.

Whiteside/dragic/winslow/richardson/johnson is not a 20 win team, period. That team should be .500 at least
