I was at the game where he dropped 41!
It's still one of the best Suns games I've seen live.

The contract is extremely cheap by today's standards, and Barbosa can provide points in a pinch and change the tenor and tempo of an offense. He played a major role in turning Games One and Two of the 2016 NBA Finals into second-half blowouts by doing just that, combining to shoot 10-12 from the field in those games. Of course, Barbosa in ineffective in slow-down situations, helping to explain why he hardly played in either of Golden State's two Game Sevens this past spring.
I am assuming that Price will not be back, but even so, there is not enough playing time for six guards. Without extensively featuring small-ball lineups and three-guard offenses, there is hardly enough playing time for four guards. Of course, one must account for possible injuries, so keeping five guards makes sense, but another shoe needs to drop—either Goodwin or Knight needs to go.
