It may be time for Riles to retire.

Does he have another 5 years in him?
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

i think he will stay and rebuild around hassan and tragic.but who knows he could jump ship too

Surely Pat can talk some superstar players into taking discounts after this.

no more discount for Miami, no more

It might a good time to get younger in the front office as well.

Pat will go when he feels like it, I think he try to set the ship in the right directions next couple of years and then hands it to a new captain.

So next season will indeed be about building trade value for Bosh. If Bosh plays to all-star break with no set backs a title contender team will be interested.

I doubt, he's played to that point 2 years in a row. Bosh is ours next season

They will offer pennies on the dollar. Heck forget pennies think rubles ( Russia currency worth almost nothing ). I'm of the belief Bosh plays but will have complications and will be out for the rest of the year. That also means every dollar will be on the book until 2018 at the earliest.

I'm sure Andy will move up Pats spot, with someone like Zo in as GM

All the best free agents are gone, the Heat will most likely end in the lottery.

I just hope that he doesn't chase pipe dreams for the sake of one more title under his watch and instead realizes a different approach might be necessary.

Going after some of the biggest guys available either as a FA or a trade has netted us zo, Tim hardaway, Shaq, odom, lebron and bosh. His approach has made us one of the most successful franchises in the nba since he's been here. Durant granted us a free agent visit. Are you saying that Riley should of turned it down? Now that would of been nuts.

In yours opinion the Miami Heat will tank in the next two seasons? A core with Dragic-Wislow-Bosh-Whiteside is that bad?

Some of us don't think so.

Spo is going to be promoted to President of Basketball Operations and then they will keep Andy on or promote one of the scouts to GM.
Heat President of TANK operations.

No but we generally had somebody on our team that would help us be an attractive free agent situation and currently we lack that. Also the NBA has changed, relationships amongst players are more important than ever. Currently, the likes of Paul George or Russell Westbrook have no reason to join us and we don't have the assets to trade for such a player.

It wouldn't be a horrible idea to tank this year to get into the lottery of a supposedly great draft as well as trade Dragic at the deadline for more youth and picks. We could enter 2017 FA with a very promising young core and a nice future ahead of us. I don't think the tank will be more than a year.

we will be anything from a top eastern conference team(with a 100% healthy bosh) to a lottery team(bosh not playing and guys just sucking.

so much depends on bosh's health. sounds like he intends on playing. must prevent the blood clots from returning.
