Hello
Thought I should say hello, been lurking here since around the draft
I have only started following basketball again since the start of last season, after largely being away from the sport for...well a very long time.
There's a lot i don't understand in terms of free agency/cap (seems a lot more complicated than hockey for example) but I've been picking up a bit
Anyway, hi

What's up?
How did you become a fan of the Hornets?
Are you Marco Belinelli?

*taps nose*
Heh got on board by something as simple as I got a Hornets hat as a present as a kid (one of those old reversable bandana style ones. Purple one side, teal on the other). I was really short as a kid as well so Bogues was a very big idol of mine
Tried getting back into the league about 10 years ago, but really couldn't get on board the Bobcat branding so i came back again when we got the Hornet back

Re: Hello
Damn, I was seriously hoping after the droves of Lin fans, that we'd have one random guy who goes f*cking nuts over Roy Hibbert or posted every time Bellinelli made a sandwich and posted on Instagram or something. We had that one crazy Tyler Hansbrough guy and the one guy I'm sure was related to Jeff Taylor, and of course UNCNYC who'd love nothing more than to see us roll out Felton/McCants/Marvin/May/Hansbrough for an entire season.
Can you be our designated Brian Roberts superfan?

Lol never mind. It's Squiggy.
Twiggy, the model from the 60s and 70s, is my first instinct, so yeah...

Hello
"Hello, it's me,
I've thought about us for a long, long time
Maybe I think too much but something's wrong
Something's here that doesn't last too long.
Maybe I shouldn't think of you as mine.
Seeing you, seeing anyone as much as I do you,
I take for granted that you're always there,
I take for granted that you just don't care.
Sometimes I can't help seeing all the way through, baby."

Re: Hello
Welcome to the board Twigs. You are coming in at a great time, as we actually have a team that competes and looks like a genuine NBA squad. I'm a long time fan, remember the day we were awarded the Hornets, went to several games every year, was at the Christmastime game season 1 when we beat MJ and the Bulls. That place was so loud, I nearly went deaf!
Now I'm older, deaf in one ear (not from the games I hope), and love following my Hornets. Great folks on this board!

I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

They're playing in Charlotte in August, I'm going to that one.
