Just an FYI for those who want to watch the action - SlingTV seems like a pretty good bet to get you most of the games. Sling is $20 a month with no contract, so you can drop the $20 and watch all month. They also have a 7 day free trial that could get you through summer league.

The actual SlingTV app has ESPN and ESPN2, and your Sling password gets you access to WatchESPN. I've been using Sling for a couple of months now, and it works pretty well with chromecast for those who watch games that way.

Winslow has looked pretty bad thus far. Detroit playing good defense and moving the ball on offense, Miami is chucking a lot and taking some tough shots.

Yeah his jumper looks broken af, he was making some progress late last season but looks even stiffer and more uncoordinated putting it on the deck. RHJ was the best wing defender in that class but will probably never develop 3pt range and isn't as explosive in transtion, by most metrics he graded out as above league average whereas Winslow was only good for a rookie

I'm watching this Heat summer league game and two of these dudes are going to be in their starting lineup (winslow's FG% is 2/14 and he still chucking :o ). They're going to be so bad this year. It's almost a good thing the Suns have their 2018 pick instead of this year because if Bosh retires they'll definitely be in the bottom 7 and keep the pick. They have zero depth too.

I think Riley is finally embracing a stealth tank, surprising because he usually looks for shortcuts and doesn't like rebuilding organically. I wouldn't count them out just yet, he may a last trick up his sleeves before hanging it up

Hope the first pick conveys unprotected in 2019 so we have a shot at the hometown hero, Marvin Bagley III

Something to keep in mind when watching our guys in SL.

Weak-to-no correlation between scoring in the SL and in the NBA
Mild-to-moderate correlation with rebounding.
Moderate-to-strong correlation with passing.

Data: http://www.draftexpress.com/article/Summer-League-Statistics-Something-or-Nothing--5628

So basically watch for the guys who are rebounding and passing more than the guys who are scoring.

Does SlingTV have NBATV or our all our games going to be on WatchESPN?

WatchESPN has all of our games scheduled to play on ESPN3 or 2. I haven't used the WatchESPN app before but I assume that means I'll be able to watch it with the sling subscription.

6AM start but I'm so down to see these summer Suns. 3 picks from this year, Book, Brown from the year before... and Williams. Should be great fun.

saintEscaton wrote:Thats not a good look for Chriss

That's not a good look for our entire team seeing as everyone has tied with him for SL rebounds, with 0.

Yeah it'll be concerning if Chriss gets pushed around on the boards and has a lot more turnovers than assists.

Let's see how he does.
