Re: Where do we go from here? SF edition
Crabbe to Nets. Approx. 20mln/year deal. Wow. Too much bad karma would catch up with Portland at some point.
Get Rudy Gay for Waiters+picks or whatever.
My Euroleague infused lineup:
PG: WB, Milos Teodosic (3mln/year), Payne
SG: Oladipo, Waiters(please go away), Morrow
SF: Rudy Gay, Robes, Luigi Datome (2mln/year), Singler??
PF: Ersan Ilyasova, Huestis, Sabonis, Kanter
C: Adams, Kanter, Ekpe Udoh/Jan Vesely (2mln/year), McGary??
- Milos Teodosic is the best PG in Euroleague. he is the PG of champions CSKA Moscow. He is interested in coming to NBA, talked with Grizz and declared Spurs as his ideal target but insists at min. 3mln/year deal and guaranteed playing time. he has around 2x BBIQ of WB and maybe a quarter of his explosiveness.
- Luigi Datome played briefly for Celtics and displayed high BBIQ, sharp 3-pt shooting but low physical strength although generally speaking he is a better version of Morrow as he has better positioning and knows how to take charges and better at steals.
- Ekpe Udoh and Jan Vesely are body able and cheap big bodies. While Vesely is the better one in general he has recently suffered a serious injury so Udoh may be the safer bet.

We're not wasting picks on Rudy Gay.

I also said "whatever".
That includes electromagnetic mind control to add Singler to the package or painting Waiters blue and selling him as the new dolphin mascot that can play bball.

We need more shooting, not less. Just start Morrow. Adams is defending, Russ and Dipo creating and Morrow and Ilyasova stretching the floor.

I am definitely sure Luigi Datome is much better than Morrow. If Donovan plans on starting Morrow in SF there certainly will be Kanteresque defensive black holes at nearly every position. Just check some videos:

Re: Where do we go from here? SF edition
Dude Datome was in the NBA as recently as two years ago. Couldn't get on the court - the reason that a lot of Euro players don't stick is that a lot of them are soft. Presti himself said that they are not going to be careless - flooding the team with NBA wannabes who couldn't hack it the first time around is the definition of careless.

Re: Where do we go from here? SF edition
Actually he scored 22 points on his first career start and he had 58% 2-pt and 45% 3-pt percentages overall but he could only play under 10 minutes per game. He was behind names like Jeff Green & Avery Bradley and their "preciouss" 2014 first round pick James Young (who later turned out to be **** anyway). As Celtics decided to commit to their first round pick he decided to return to Europe, there he reached Euroleague cup final and lost to Teodosic's CSKA Moscow in overtime. I assure you he is a much better than Morrow. I cannot claim that he is ready for starting place (Rudy Gay maybe?) but he would be a more than adequate backup for the 1.75mln he is currently receiving in Turkey. He is not soft, he is the X factor, the kind of player that makes intelligent plays as soon as he neters the game, has good positioning, takes charges, swats balls from behind, he is not Morrow. If Datome is soft then Morrow is jelly.

Re: Where do we go from here? SF edition
Hey guys, first of all, I'm sorry you lost Durant. I wanted to see what your thoughts are about where OKC should be going next.
Is this depth chart fair?
Westbrook/Payne
Oladipo/Waiters
Roberson/Singler?
Kanter/Ilyasova/Sabonis
Adams/Kanter/Sabonis
You seem to have desperate need for SF and desperate need for shooting. You might need a back up center too.
Out of your regular 2-deep rotation only Ilyasova seems like an accomplished shooter. Kanter can probably stretch the floor too if he's asked to do it.
Depending on what your plans for next summer are and whether you decide to keep Westbrook I think giving some short-term money to JR Smith might not be the worst idea.

Looks like Ersan's starting at 4 for now and they want Sabonis to take over later in the year, from what Smitty heard at Summer League. I'm hoping they go for Harkless and let Dion walk.

It would be nice if Singler remembered how to shoot this off-season

Maybe not having the pressure of being on a legit title contender will help him relax.
Got nothing to lose Kyle. People have already written you off.

Re: Where do we go from here? SF edition
Two more guys I didn't think of previously:
Otto Porter and Alec Burks.
Utah's got a pretty good stock of rotation-caliber wings, and I think Burks is the one most likely to come available.
Porter seems like a likely candidate for the Presti "take a flier on a guy going into RFA who's underachieved" trade.

Also I'm considering eating Terrence Ross's contract. Someone talk me down from the ledge.

Burks is WAY out of our league. He's a better tyreke without the hype and Utah knows it.

Maybe at the deadline. Better off seeing what we look like before reading for Dion part two.

Burks can't stay on the court and Rodney Hood is better and cheaper. With Hayward, Hood and Johnson Utah would love for a team to make a stupid offer for Burks. OKC wouldn't move the assets to make a stupid offer, but I think Payne and Sabonis would get Burks.
The player I'd like from Utah is Hood, but they won't trade him. Terrence Ross wouldn't be bad, depending on the cost. Ross is a better version of Morrow/Singler.
I wonder what it would take to get Covington from Philly? Waiters (S&T) and McGary? If they are set on moving one of their bigs, as they have said repeatedly, then McGary would help maintain their depth.

I don't see Washington giving up Porter. I like the idea and have thought about him, but I don't see how it would line up.
