Bulls, Everyway really. I think you guys are gonna be poor on both ends. Offensively you look horrible, you have no shooting. You need to trade rondo mid season somehow i think. Will knicks even make playoffs? Probably not.

Toronto are actually quite a good team.

I know you must be pretty happy about signing wade, think i remember you saying hes your favourite player and hes from chicago but your roster is put together very poorly. I see it being a rough year. You guys should have gone after barbosa i think.

Things can change and you can upgrade your roster but now its not great. I like wade and buckets together but add rondo and the 3 together fit horribly.

The reason I think Rondo fits is that he isn't a scorer that will be Jimmy and Wade, Rondo will just orchestrate the offense. I wish though we still had Gasol though.

Teams will just pack the paint though. Offense will be very stagnant at times. Your d might be a bit better than i anticipate depending on what wade and rondo front up but rondos d has been awful for a long time.

Rondo does some things well. He won't be of use as a scorer, and he won't be of too much use as a defender, but he does run an offense intelligently. He spots the hot hand, he passes well in transition, he's patient enough to let set plays develop, he manages the clock well... he's a good point guard. He's not the world's most brilliant initiator of offense, particularly as he's slowed down, and he's not the most dynamic of playmakers, so he won't drive really high-end offense... but you can generally count on him to make intelligent decisions as far as game management.

Wade is a lower-end offensive player in the regular season these days. Butler's a really nice piece, and Wade certainly won't be garbage, but he's not been at league average scoring efficiency or ORTG since his 54-game 2014 season, and 2016 was the first 70-game season he'd played since 2011 (he even missed 17 games in the 2012 lockout season).

So I'd expect him to be unhealthy and inefficient over the balance of the regular season, based on the last half-decade or so which, combined with his poor range and Chicago's need for quality offensive pieces, makes me wonder at the WHY of it all. I don't think they're going to be very good on offense at all. Now, having said that, it's possible that Rondo will prove an upgrade, at least, over Derrick Rose. It will be challenging to tell with Pau's departure, because Wade likely isn't going to produce really good offense himself and that'll make it hard to isolate Rondo's effect. Dunleavy looks like he's leaving too, but he only played like 30 games this past season.

The Bulls WERE the 23rd offense in the league. I think that, despite being individually inefficient, it's possible that Wade will draw enough attention and be useful enough as a secondary ball-handler that he might make life easier for Butler, though, and that has value for sure. It's not a long-term deal either way, so I guess it could be worse. But from a fit standpoint, it definitely doesn't make a lot of sense.

James jones, Richard Jefferson, and mike dunleavy.

I really hope Cleveland doesn't go full Miami. Youth does need to be developed. I am hoping that Mcrae / Osman can be guys like that.

Yeah, the Bulls look like a disaster waiting to happen.

RJ back is a solid signing. Dunleavey is meh...guy is a terrible defender, basically late career Mike Miller. Still need to resign JR, and hopefully get some real 3&D guys for Love. Doubt the latter happens tho.

Admittedly didn't watch much of him last year (Bulls sucked) but Dunleavy has been a good defender for a while. He has height (and therefore decent length) + decent agility for a SF and is scrappy (code word for a bit dirty).

14 and 15 he has nearly a +2 DRPM. He was far from terrible. Back injuries are no joke though so maybe he sucks now. Hopefully he's healthy though because 14/15 Dunleavy would be a significant contributor to this team.

Dunleavy isn't a terrible defender. He has been consistently a 2.0 DRPM player, as JLei has mentioned above. Last year he was recovering from an injury, but I expect him to return to his 2015 self, or hope at least :D

I would be so happy. Of course, not getting my hopes up whatsoever, especially until somebody credible (not the morning ledger) says something.

But did I say how happy I would be?

I'd put money on Knicks Bulls. Heat have no stars anymore and isn't a big market.

Hawks @ Celtics 12pm (Playoff rematch/ Al Horford thingy)
Bulls @ Knicks 2:30pm ABC? (big markets, well known names)
Warriors @ Cavs 5pm ABC (rematch)
Thunder @ Spurs 8pm (yawn)
Blazers @ Clippers 10:30pm (Clippers slot, playoff rematch, should be good game)

Something like that.

Blazers/clippers came to my mind too. I think that's a solid bet

Bulls/Knicks obviously has market size and all the ex Bulls tie ins ( for that reason it's better in Chicago than msg ) , I get the appeal... but I'd rather have a Wade return game

Cleveland played @Chicago for the first game in 2015-16 and their 2nd game in 2014-15. So NBA definitely likes this matchup, add that the DWade in Chicago + Rondo. It's to perfect not to happen.

I think Knicks at Bulls is more likely as Rose and Noah play there ex team.

I like the Birdman signing as a backup center I don't know how he was this season but he looked healthy in the playoffs. His org-drtg is really nice actually

Kings shopping Rudy Gay. I have no idea if he's capable of being a good defender, but he obviously has talent, he's big and athletic, and he's somehow still only 29 years old. He has been a laughingstock kind of player for a while, but it's difficult to accurately assess a player in the worst organization in the league. I wonder if the Cavs would hope to put him through the juvenation machine and make him into a good 3&D guy. His contract was laughable when he got it, but of course it now looks much more reasonable for a talented all-around wing at 13 million/year. If the Kings are just trying to unload him, he could be had for a package around the Varejao exception.

Rudy Gay was someone I was actually thinking of before he announced he wanted a trade. Would be solid off the bench and as a part of the anti-death lineup in place of RJ
