The media (aka ESPN) really is pathetic isn't it

Post#1 » by WadeInTheWater » Thu Jul 7, 2016 5:27 pm

I really shouldn't have been surprised with the way they tried to completely ruin and vilify the Heat and Wade's relationship, as if the guy had never even played in Miami let alone win 3 rings. After all, this is the same media that without even unearthing any proven facts tried to single handedly tarnish and destroy the legacy of possibly the greatest QB of all time in Tom Brady 2 weeks before he and his team where about to play in a SB.

Nothing they have said about this 'breakup' has been positive in anyway, instead of being rational and putting out that monetarily it makes sense for Wade and Miami to part ways so that they can not only rebuild but also look at potentially making a move for a truly elite player (aka Westbrook), they just want to spin it and focus on calling it an 'ugly' fiasco.

Again these are the same people that didn't hesitate to try tare down a legend like Brady so don't be surprised the reputation of a class organisation and Mr. 305 were caught in the crossfire for ratings.

ESPN may be a pillar of sports but it wouldn't be a sad day if that pillar was knocked down to rubble.

Yep. And the General Board is the same way.

None of those guys care anything about this team until something negative happens, and then suddenly the Heat are trending #1 in new threads. It's just funny.

These people literally have nothing better to do, it's so sad to think that this is the way they get their kicks.

There's no reason to go on the General Board except to +1 Heat fans and report braindead trolls.

The national media has hated us for whatever reason since the Big 3 era as we all know. Jealousy, not sure what else.

Thought it would leave with Lebron but it still hasn't. Now they want to rush to Wade's side. Soon it will be bosh when he isn't medically cleared to play.

They basically ruined the whole big 3 era for me. The irrational hate, mocking our fan base, the "they don't deserve this team", etc etc etc.

Thankfully we got 2 more titles but man, sometimes not sure if it was worth it. Taken a lot of joy out of it.

On a personal note I cherish the 06 title way more then the other two.

Wade was our home grown rookie that became a superstar.. It was magical.

First of all Tom Brady and the Patriots are cheaters. They've been caught cheating multiple times. I don't know how many times they need to get caught before people quit acting like they are being wrongly accused.

But on to my main bone to pick ... truely elite Russell Westbrook hasn't been able to win a championship despite playing on one of the most talented teams in every single one of his 8 seasons, and sharing the court with super truely elite Kevin Durant who has been equally unsuccessful despite playing on very talented teams, and sharing the court with truely elite Russell Westbrook.

In fact, the combined ultra-mega-ginorma-elite Durant/Westbrook dou has only made it to the finals one time in 8 years.
