Not saying I want Yabusele, but he was drafted 16th overall. I wouldn't say Gay is way more valuable than a mid first pick, that's probably his value. Although I think the Kings can do better than trading for a draft and stash type of player.

It's Voison so I hold that rumor with a certain grain of salt.

If Gay is moved or even wants out it tells me that maybe he's not a Joerger guy. He's the one person you never hear mentioned it seems.

Premise of ideas I'd like to see with Rudy wanting out...

I wish Russell Westbrook but we don't have the assets.

Rudy Gay and Ben McLemore to Suns for Eric Bledsoe or Brandon Knight and P.J. Tucker
Rudy Gay and Ben McLemore to Celtics for Avery Bradley and Jae Crowder
Rudy Gay and Ben McLemore to Rockets for Patrick Beverley and Trevor Ariza
Rudy Gay and Ben McLemore to Wolves for Ricky Rubio and Zach Lavine
Rudy Gay and Ben McLemore to Thunder for Dion Waiters and Cameron Payne
Rudy Gay to Pelicans for Tyreke Evans
Rudy Gay and Ben McLemore to Hawks for Paul Millsap
Rudy Gay to 76ers for Robert Covington and cap space

I tried make trades realistic and some adjustments could be made but to fill our PG issue I could see Tyreke coming back, he never wanted to leave in the first place.

Hopefully Vlade can get something good. If its not at least like something I've mentioned then I say hold onto him and reevaluate at All-Star break, don't settle.

I think the Celtics, Wolves, Thunder and Hawks deals are extremely unlikely, especially BOS and MIN. My ideal trade is the Rockets one but it does leave Houston with zero point guards so I don't know. Covington and TJ McConnell would be a nice get too.

Kings are talking once again to the same teams in general I have been saying for awhile in regards to trading Gay .

Celtics , T-Wolves , Bulls , Pacers , Heat & more recently Oklahoma . Again their is interest in Gay by more than half of the league .
Possible any deal would be a 3 team deal .

Kings would like to package Gay with Koufas & or Mac .

Wolves likely Rubio
Bulls our #1 pick we owe likely would come back to us in the deal if one happens . likely Taj & Grant or Snell + our #1 back .
Celtics Likely an A.Johnson ( only because he is an expiring for more cap space the year after ) + Rozier & future #1` . Also talked about Gay & Koufas for Bradley & A.Johnson .
Heat would have to part with J.Winslow in a deal to have one happen.

Cavs pushing hard for Mac . Cavs suggest M.Williams & a possible future pick .

Something should happen really soon now . We are flooded with calls .

PetrieUniversity half of those trades aren't realistic value for Gay. I'd love if one of them happened tho.

Edit: No to Tyreke tho... that ship sailed.

Please please please I'm begging for a Gay/Ben/Koufos for Bradley deal.
Our defense would easily be top 10 with him and we'd still have shooting

If Miami would do Winslow for Gay that would be awesome, but then you'd have to hope Afflalo reverts back to his Orlando days.

I don't think anyone will "guess" what the deal for Gay will be no matter how broad. When a team is almost forced to do a deal they never get what they want or what others expect.

We can only hope we get a PG and/or SF that can help up this year.

The thing about Gay is what is out there right now? I know many on this board have been racking up trades left and right and from the looks of it, trade options just don't seem to be there regardless of value.

But that is your view.

My point is that none of us will see the trade coming because the Kings hand has been force sort of speak. We will end up having to settle for something outside of the normal thinking.

Like someone said on the TT board, Markieff demanded a trade and returned a lottery pick. We can get something for him, especially taking his deal into consideration. I could see Gay+Ben for Rubio if MIN sees Lavine able to play more minutes at PG.

But a that isn't what people on the Suns board where expecting to get for him if traded and that is my point. Not that we won't get anything for him.

For those whom think our hand is forced and we cannot get value for Gay they are sorely mistaken .
Gay 's value first of all is very high especially as his contract is really friendly right now and any team that gets him will be able to offer him the most money vi anew contract . These things are Huge factors in his value . Not to mention and with the NBA teams always looking to get more shooters .
History has shown many players asking / demanding trades and teams still getting a boat load if not at least great value for them .

We will see how this shakes out .
Predictions ? People can find out info as to what will happen & predicting value or whom can be had or what could come back is not all that hard .
If it was then NBA trades would not fall in lines with the rules of how much salary comes in & how much goes out etc.

I know for a 100% fact that talks are getting serious and of course teams will always initially low ball offers however Kings hold all the cards they could easily keep him if they wanted until the trade deadline and get value their as well though barring a major change Rudy will be gone & fast but we must sift through and take the best deal that suits us for now & our future .

You're getting a pretty well-respected head coach and opening a new stadium. But assuming you can't turn it around by the trade deadline, and it doesn't appear you'll get into the playoffs, Boogie is probably gonna to walk out when his contract ends, and leave the Kings with nothing to show for it. In which case, you'd be better off trading him and getting something in return. And Boston has the assets to make it happen NOW rather than later.

Let's pretend I'm Danny Ainge....does this sounds like an offer you'd accept for Cousins AND McLemore?

2017 Brooklyn 1st (lottery, likely Top 3)
2017 All 2nd round picks
2018 Brooklyn 1st (lottery, likely Top 3-5)
2019 Boston 1st
2019 Clippers 1st
2019 Memphis 1st
Olynyk
Johnson
Jerebko

I think anything with Boston starts with the picks and Bradley then builds from there with the you g guys. I don't think the young guys would be enough on their own.

Return to Sacramento Kings
