Too bad I'd kill to be embarrassed on a nightly basis...and I haven't lost hope. There are a few in there with real potential not to disappoint.

Why doesn't Tyler Johnson want to be a Heat?

We have no dept. We've been through this before with the 14-15 Heat team. That team was Wade, Bosh, Deng, and nothing else. This team is worse than that one and that one only won 37 games.

Assuming CB doesn't return but everything else goes right and we gel we could end up in the 35-40 win range. Even then though we'd be one serious injury or a string of minor one's away from finishing in the 25-30 range which is really all we need.

I don't think that the Heat will intentionally tank but with this roster we won't have to. We'll battle and it'll be fun to start the season but eventually it'll catch up to us and we'll probably end up with the 5th-7th pick.

Lot's of teams got better though so we may be able to sink even lower. Minnesota for example won't be a bottom 5 team again. The Lakers should be at least slightly better as well, same goes for the Pelicans.

Not Philly though... those bastards will continue to suck, so will the Nets. :nonono:

76ers will be better. We are better than the Nets and Suns and that's about it. The draft would be a lot more fun with two picks.

IDK gom the Sixers still have no guard play. I agree that it'd be more fun with two picks. Maybe we can put together a package around Goran to get one. We'll see.

I do though people have said that they think it'd be bad for his development.

If Winslow keeps shooting like he does playing shooting guard will be an oxymoron.

It's going to be a rough year, but there is nothing wrong with being optimistic until the games start!
I am impressed with the FA though, put together a team quick while remaining flexible for next year. I really hope TJ turns into the player they think he will, that 18 million dollar per will be an albatross if he doesn't or is injury prone.

If the team gels though they could be solid, maybe like a lite version of Boston last year.

We aren't showing Tyler Johnson respect 73% of us would have let him go to the Nets. If he wants to use that for motivation - knock himself out.....but the kid already plays his heart out and that is what is particularly disturbing. It's not motivation that he needs it's talent. By matching that contract Riley has set him out to be a very disliked member of the Heat as soon as he messes up with the same propensity he has to lose teeth.

I think an up tempo style will do wonders for TJ... we've really just scratched the surface in terms of what this kid can do.

Matching Tyler was the right thing to do because we will be able to trade him for something during the deadline because at this point he's an assets for the two years he's making 5 million.

TJ will flourish. Pope Ignatius CC has given his blessing. One must just have faith in Cardinal Riles. Amen

725 people in a twitter poll voted the HEAT shouldn't match the offer. How's Tyler ever going to survive that injustice?

Tyler Johnson 2015-16

preseason: 8-2-1... 64% TS... ~22 PER
RS: 9-3-2... 58% TS... ~14 PER
PS: 4-1-2... 66% TS... ~17 PER (post-surgery)

Potential is there. With more playing time and USG, he can become a whale

REALLY pumped about this Willie Reed signing...looks to be a legit backup center that can contribute behind Whiteside, but also develop into something more.

No, He can play PF but should not start at PF especially if Bosh is healthy. Also the teams seems to want spacing to allow Whiteside and Dragic to work. Winslow would basically kill that. It will be Bosh or J. Johnson or McRoberts ( if he is still with the team) or even Babbitt. Winslow is better to come of the bench cause he can Back up PF / SF / SG. If his shooting improves he may start at SF but I think Richardson should start there over him!
