We were still trying to get Durant, so if we were to get him we would have had to renounce any trade exceptions because they count against the cap. Technically we could have still done it yesterday when the moratoriam ended, we could have called Orlando and asked to sign and trade Green to them for a trade exception, but of course it wouldn't have made much sense to do that and Orlando would be like huh?? :noway:

Rudy doesn't seem like a good fit. Might make us worse.

The New Orleans Pelicans have re-signed my man Tim Frazier for 2 years $4.1M. Still hopeful that we try to get him in the future. He had a strong finish to last season.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

And Chambers got another recruit. We will be a basketball school soon too. Thrilled for Tim.

Timmy is the greatest player that I have had the pleasure and privilege of watching from the beginning of his career to the finish. Model champion and leader. He wasn't flashy, but he didn't give you any drama either. I would love to see more players take his approach to the game. True Excellence! Thanks for everything!

Another guy we were discussing in the offseason thread coming to us for the minimum/BAE gets a $10M+ per year contract in Miles Plumlee. In the end, we're pretty lucky Bass renounced his player option with the Lakers to come here for less than half that. I bet he could've gotten a short contract worth about $8M-$10M somewhere.

EDIT- And another of the guys we were discussing (Donald Sloan) is apparently headed to China:

I'm happy with Felton but I'd still love him as a 3rd guard, I'm surprised he's valued this little

It's a shame Doc didn't find a spot for Willie Green in his team and he's gonna start his coaching career on the Warriors of all places

Theoretically a guy like Okafor wouldn't be a bad option as a backup C who can rebound and protect the rim if he's actually capable of still contributing and if the team didn't already have a ton of players at PF/C.

I was interested in Okafor a few years back, but didn't know the severity of his injury at the time. I hope he is able to do it. 5-6 months from now is around the All-Sta Break/Trade Deadline. Players that are waived after March 1st are ineligible for the postseason. He will have been out of action for 3 1/2 years by the time he's ready to go, so he may have temper his expectations of landing on a contending team.
