He's also the only older guy around. Which makes him an odd fit with this young, long term team.
This sums up to be perfect tank bait.
If we trade Dragic for a lottery pick, we'll lose a lot, and get a high lottery pick of our own. So we'll end up with 2, which we might combine to use to move up in the draft and get a truly generational player.
Add 1 or 2 lottery talents to a core of :
Weber
TJ
Rich
Winslow
Hassan
And all of a sudden we're Minnesota East - one of the most exiting and promising young teams in the league.
Hassan's not all that young either, if we trade Dragic for future fate then we midas whale do Whiteside for the same. Big men don't always age so gracefully either
Hassan should be in his prime for another 8 years or so. His game is based on length and touch more then on quickness.
Also heavily relies on his athleticism to dunk and block shots. 8 years is a long time so idk... His touch and length can still be useful but he's going to have to grow into a better (more patient to say the least) post player and one-on-one defender
If we're going full-tank then our max/near max players may be more useful as picks, we can't hoard talent and tank... Don't think that's going to be real productive.
