Pay him what he wants. Assistant coach, big man development coach, whatever he wants to do, part time is fine, so he can keep his car shop in SA. If he can help us develop Zubacca. Well, he will probably be hired to do that for the Spurs tomorrow, and he simply might not want to live here.
He might want to be a coach one day, who knows? Starting with a 17 win team under a young unproven head coach would fit his humble style.
Thoughts?

Re: Hire Tim Duncan, now!
What makes you think he'd even want to pursue opportunities outside San Antonio? They are great at keeping hold of their ex players and Duncan seems like a guy that would stay in familiar surroundings if he was even considering a coaching or front office office job, besides there's no better organization tree than the spurs.

Honestly it would surprise me if we see Timmy in a public role ever again.
Could totally see him disappearing from public consciousness.

Re: Hire Tim Duncan, now!
TD is not an LA kind of guy.
I agree that he'd probably stay out of the public view from now on .
If he does anything related to coaching or basketball management, it's either be in San Antonio or at the college level at his alma mater.

TD isn't exactly like "every damn player". Try Best PF ever.
