Trade Paul Pierce, let Jamal go and you could have signed Rivers, Johnson and someone else for about $7 million starting. Fill the roster with a room MLE player and minimum players.

All we have now is subtract the possible other player, add Jamal, and we can stll only fill the roster with the BAE and minimum players.

He'll probably be among the last group of players to sign. Teams are wary of his behavior despite his fairly productive contributions. Given his age and the decline in his athleticism, he won't be a priority signing for anybody.

Yes, jack could have been very helpful of healthy.

On a different note I'm reading rumors that the clips and Celtics are talking about a trade involving Blake. I really hope not. There is no way they'll get equal value back

We'd be better off dealing with the Lakers, to be honest. Griffin for Gay? Come on. I'd rather try to swing Griffin, Dawson, and Pierce for Russell, Ingram, and Nance, Jr.

To be fair, the tweet said that Boston was talking about Griffin again. That doesn't mean the Clippers are interested, especially since Doc said he wants to bring the Big 3 back for another run this season.

The only reason I could see for the clippers to agree to a less than optimal trade for Blake is if they know his quad injury is chronic and unlikely to fully improve

What the eff does Boston have to overpay with in a deal? Getting Gay from the Kings does not qualify at all. Like I've said, a deal with the Lakers makes much more sense. The 1st video segment takes potshots at Doc's ineptitude at the draft and fitting in players into his system. The Celtics are salivating at the idea of Brad Stevens handling Griffin and I gotta say that I like it myself. Just replace Doc with Stevens in Los Angeles and everything will be hunky dory.
