in the future IF Russell can be as good as Town, people will support Town over Russell blindly.

My thoughts exactly. It's comical at times.

Much respect. I like him too. His best probably was when he put an end on our quest to do a four peat in 2003 Western Conference Semis. He was unstoppable that time. Even Shaq was having a hard time guarding both Tim and David Robinson. Horry was a mismatch. Walker was riding on the bench and Medvedenko was getting schooled. Duncan bullied them.

Another moment was when he got T'd up by Crawford because he laughed. I know its one of the most BS calls ever but that was funny.

The only jersey that I've ever owned is a Tim Duncan jersey.

Pretty awesome story from Etan Thomas:

So we're playing the Spurs and I get the ball on the post. I inside pivot and sweep to the middle for my jump hook and he blocks it. So as we are running down the court he says to me "that was a good move but you have to get more into my body so you can either draw the foul or I can't block it". So I didn't know if he was talking noise or what so just kind of looked at him confused and said ok. Then, a few plays later I did it again got more into his body and he couldn't block it. I missed the shot and he looked at me and said much better and kept playing lol. I remember calling my boy Zee Chilton and telling him this story lol Tim Duncan is honestly one of the nicest guys in the NBA and the best power forward ever in NBA history. Respect.

Greatest power forward of all time.
The game won't be the same without him.

Congrats to a phenomenal career.
Hall of fame class of 2019 , Kobe and Tim.

Class act from beginning to end of career.

One of the most impressive things he did, imo, was go up against Peak Shaq fearlessly & endlessly. Nobody was going to stop Peak Shaq, but TD battled him TOUGH every minute they were on the floor together.

In my GOAT rankings, in every (succeeding) set of 5 players, I have one player each from all 5 positions. With him being THE best PF ever, I've got him #4 GOAT.

Probably one of the most underappreciated players and greatest power forward to ever do it.

 respect to TD.

I just remember how stunned and hurt I was when he made that falling away jump shot over Shaq before Fisher hit the 0.4 -- I thought that was one of the greatest and most unbelievable shots I've ever seen from a big man.

Consistency. Professionalism. I hate almost everything that isn't P&G, but he's not included in that. I've always had so much respect for him and wished he could somehow be a Laker so I could cheer for him more.

I know it's not his style, but he certainly deserved to be appreciated just as much as Kobe was this season.

Big respect for Duncan. But i always wondered, why couldnt they repeat? I mean, even Golden State made it back there. Just curious. I was real happy when they beat the pistons that 1 year...
