Upside bullet points from the DE vid:

(1) Boom or bust type of prospect. Lottery-level talent.

(2) Unique blend of physical attributes and skill sets. Two way potential.

(3) Has the tools to be a floor-spacing, shot blocking PF if he pans out.

(4) Not ready to contribute immediately (physically & mentally) but has a high ceiling.

Giggity.

Looks like an intriguing prospect. Shoots the 3 well, blocks shots, rebounds a little.

It's pretty apparent Cho has made a concerted effort to get as many 3 pt shooting big men as possible to pair with MKG.

I remember Philly fans fawning all over this guy. He has a ton of talent but no BBIQ whatsoever. Sounds like a younger Tyrus Thomas that isn't on an awful contract, actually seems to care about basketball, and has had so little experience that he has nowhere to go but up. I wish our third string was full of guys like him instead of Hawes, Roberts, and the like.

Underrated storyline: If Wood makes the roster, MKG would finally not be the youngest player on the roster. If not for this signing, our youngest player would be in his 5th NBA season.

Jesus Christ, just get the ball anywhere near the rim and he'll catch and dunk. I have a feeling we're going to love this dude

That's interesting. And depressing.

Intelligent teams treat their roster and rights more like a minor league baseball team always looking for cheap replacements and young talent who can contribute.

Jordan says he has no patience for rookies . But you beat the best by developing your own Jonathan Simmons and Kyle Anderson. Or drafting your own Saric, Ginobili, etc.

Selling these 2nd round picks for minor amounts of cash but then being forced to sign worthless veterans like Hibbert to monster contracts does not save money and it will never produce a competitive advantage on the court

seems at absolute minimum a young prospect worth taking a flyer on. guess we'll see him in greensboro quite a bit? if he can have more consistent energy and movement, particularly on defense, and clean up his jumper technique, he could be a rotation player. not bad for this point in free agency, and a young player with some upside as well.

Oh snap, this is good thing right? I caught a little bit of him in the SL and he looked like he had some serious talent.

I want to officially thank Cho for signing a high upside young player to get the taste of trading 22 for Marco out of my mouth. I think this is like the first time we've used an end of bench slot on a guy like this since ive been following.

Kemba/Sessions/Roberts
Batum/Marco/Harrison
MKG/Lamb/?
Marv/Frank/Wood
Cody/Hawes/Hibbert

Basically, all we need to do is add an athletic SF with defensive potential and we have some nice balanced depth.

Thats kind of what I thought. He reminds me of a more mobile/explosive version of Vonleh with not as much strength. Hard to tell from highlight videos, but his feel for the game doesn't seem quite as bad either. Maybe a dumber and more awkward version of Cornelie would be a better comparison?

Beyond annoyed that Dallas didn't get in on Wood.

Great pick up. He has hops, a pretty good shot and surprisingly good handles for a big. Pretty much ideal modern day 4 if he can put it together. He needs floor time IMO.
