Posted: Jul 11, 2016
The Indiana Pacers announced Monday they have signed second-round draft pick Georges Niang to a contract. Niang was the 50th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. Per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Niang, a 6-8, 230-pound forward, played collegiately at Iowa State, where he averaged 20.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game his senior year.

Niang signed a three-year deal worth $2.6 million with his rookie season fully guaranteed for $650,000, a league source told VigilantSports.com. Year 2 of the deal is partially guaranteed ($100,000).

If he's never anything more than worth a late roster spot it's a steal at that price to just fill out the roster.

I think he's a good player but with Young and Allen playing in front of him he may not see the court much.
