That's awesome you chilled with Gar. Is Zipster even going to make the team?

Kudos to anyone who left this thread open (if it was ever in danger of locking)

No one comes here for a guarantee of 100% true rumors. It's more a fun place to be,and occasionally you get a nugget like this one that becomes something real. It's nice.

and it is basically the essence of why anyone would devote time to the boards here.

Man.

That must've been really awkward after you started that "Fi-re Ga-ar!" chant, then realized he was right in front of you.

Nice job WB,
They should leave Zipser over there for another year then and keep his rights so he can't sign anywhere else.
I still think Gary doesn't put us in the best of positions. For example, OKC has BKN's first round picks for the next two years. The next couple drafts are stacked. They couple trade Westbrook for a max player and still bring in rookies who can contribute right away. Presti is a true GM.

Here's some memorabilia that I've managed to hold on to, from the 1983 Draft I went to in Chicago, and the Bulls activity in that draft. You can see where I wrote down the names of their picks on the program. I'm also including the page with player profiles that includes, yep, Pax! Memory lane...

Boston owns Brooklyn's picks - not OKC.

Presti just lost Durant to GSW.

Presti is going to have to trade Westbrook for .10 on the dollar because Westbrook has already said he is not signing an extension anywhere.

Is Presti still a true GM?

He'll get a deal done. Definitely does more than Gar.

Yes - congrats to Presti on not losing his star player to multiple catastrophic knee injuries.

Instead he lost one to FA and is about to lose another. OKC won't get much for Westbrook - Westbrook is refusing to promise he'll sign an extension with anyone, he wants to hit FA.

One loss in the Finals.
Three losses in the WCF
One loss in the semi's
One loss in the 1st round.
One missed playoffs

By this board's logic - Presti did nothing more than build a treadmill team.

Presti is really cool. His poop smells like roses. It was one of the reasons Durant freaked out and left OKC.

Here's a team made from players who have left OKC under Presti:

Reggie Jackson
James Harden
Durant
Serge Ibaka

Once you add a decent C, I think that team can likely make the second round of the Western Conference.

Ok and how many times did the Bulls get to the Finals, ECF under Gar? What does that make the Bulls?

So the Bulls FO/Ownership is bitching about all these insane contracts going out, are they bitching about that flood of TV$$$ coming their way?

I like Presti. He has knack for talent. His picks produces. Almost with 100% guarantee. Unlike ours. There are no Teagues and Snells in OKC. You want rebuild through draft? You pay Presti PJax money. He will get it done. Now retaining that talent? That's more of owner job and recent cap explosions where everybody have money. I dont like OKC franchise cause what they did to Sonics. And everything they did to Sonics is coming up now. It's karma. What goes around comes around

So its the Owner and karma's fault? GM's get the credit for the good things, but everyone else takes the hit when things don't work out?

As for draft picks - Mitch McGary, Andre Roberson, Perry Jones, and Josh Huestis all say hello.

As I said - congrats to Presti on not losing his MVP to multiple catastrophic knee injuries. Excellent GM'ing by him.

If I recall both Westbrook and Durant had serious injuries. And that team is in the West. We can't even make the ECF in this weak conference...

The Bulls made the ECF.

Durant was injured in 2014-2015, and coincidentally the Thunder missed the playoffs that year.

Made the ECF 1 time. And who is responsible for putting together the medical staff?
