Exactly. Hinkie made that possible for you. You're excited and it's because of what Hinkie has built.

I will not forgive him for wasting 3 years of my basketball life....And if he stayed on; we would continue to be a failure; with or without Simmons.

Can you stop making Ridiculous Hinkie posts? You're forcing me to respond and I want to talk basketball :)

The 3 years were a necessary evil. You can't comprehend it. You do realize had he tried to win more and put a better team around we would have no Simmons. We probably have no Embiid. We would have picked lower than 3rd in the 2015 draft. Look at all the teams that tried to win but couldn't. You would rather be the Magic or Lakers?

More likely:

Bayless
Henderson
Covington
Simmons
Embiid or Noel or Okafor

Rodriguez + Saric are probably first guys off bench.

Hard to say what the starting 5 will be at this point.

I'd assume based on the contract they gave him, Bayless will be starting at the 1 (with Simmons pretty much playing the PG role offensively). Beyond that, and Simmons being at one of the forward spots defensively, things would seem to be pretty up in the air.

My personal guess at the moment would be:
Bayless
Henderson
Covington
Simmons
Okafor

I'm so happy to read this. It bothers you to see Hinkie be vindicated by the process working out. I don't know, it kinda makes me want to talk about him waaaay more.

Vindicated? gimme a break

Noel, Saric, Embiid, Okafor and Simmons are all on this team solely because of Hinkie and his plan.

Hold out on recognizing it all you want, but NONE of those guys would be on this team without him.

You would have Jrue, and a bunch of late lottery picks.

This is false. Hinkie said he was excited about this upcoming free agency period and was going to spend.

Yea..he's a great salesman

So basically, Hinkie worked for years to become an NBA GM with the goal of never actually trying to build a winning team and being content with having the job for only a few years? You must realize how incredibly stupid what you're saying is.

Trolls don't need logic, they say things to get a rise out of people.

some really horrific trolling going on in here. It can't be worth explaining anymore at this point than it has been.

Next shoe to drop is Embiid playing. Hopefully these people crawl back to wherever it is they came from once Saric, Embiid and Simmons take the court together and we witness how great they can be together. Not sure how you can argue against Hinkie once that takes place.

It won't be hard. When your argument was not based on logic initially, there is no obligation to have a logical explanation for your change in position. /s/ NYSixersFan

The new anti-Hinkie narrative is that BC is the reason Saric came over and Saric would not have come over if Hinkie were still in charge. And Hinkie would have traded away the top pick and not have taken Simmons and he would trade the top pick for 2 2nd rounders. Trolls will just never give Hinkie credit.

Even the narrative that BC has the hard job to solve the FC logjam created by Hinkie is funny.
I mean: we all remember what Collins and dileo left to Hinkie, right?

It's like someone leaving you a $1 million but complaining that it was all in gold and now you've got the hard job of diversifying the portfolio.

I am Croatian, from Zagreb.
I watched Dario a lot while he played for Cibona. Not so much, but every now and then, in last two years.

Now...
What I saw in those last two seasons was a great progress in his D and his on court decisions.
His shot efficiency and feel for the game are much better now then they were while he played in Cibona.

Also, all of you are overlooking one important part of his character, which if you haven't seen him play couldn't see.
He is natural born leader. A real glue guy, something like Draymond G. is in Warriors.

Of course, it will take him some time to get used on NBA rhythm of the game, learn new schemes, and get to know his new teammates, but, IMO, after that adjusting period, probably somewhere around All Star game he will be 100% ready to show his best.

Be patient for a while with him, and you will see, that in no time, already this season, he will be something like 12p-7r-5a player.

I don't think he will have the minutes or touches for those numbers. 10 6 and 3 would be absolutely great for me.

Saric leaves and Turkey falls apart.

For all the people saying he would have saved so much money... man watch the news no one in their right mind wants to live over there.
