Just so I understand this correctly...
Good would be to use this trade to waive the Orlando player to free up cash and a roster spot?

A bad situation would be to keep the Orlando player or use the spot to keep pierce?

So whether this is a good trade comes down to what doc does next? Or is this a good trade irrespective of Wilcox's perceived value simply because he wasn't getting minutes anyway?

It's not so much a good trade as it is making the most out of the bad situation Doc put us in.

Good trade because it gives us the flexibility to duck under the luxury tax and erase our repeater tax penalty. Of course, we could do that at any point this season as well, but...
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.
