Spurs complete the signing of Vincent Janssen for £17m

Hopefully he can give Kane something to worry about, lad looks like a good fit for the PL.

Lots of places reporting that Kante to Chelsea is done. €36m/£30m.

Kante was my #1 target for Chelsea. He's exactly what we need in the midfield. Needless to say, I'm super excited.

Good signing for Chelsea, was hoping Madrid would sign him.

Really good signs. He fits perfectly with Conte's style of play.
I can't say the same with the other Chelsea signs (Batshuayi) because I think he will be a bust.

Another day another player supposed to be leaving. Today it's Jeff Schlupp. Yesterday it was Kanté, the day before Mahrez.

My feelings are - get on with it if you're going so that we can get a Leicester team in place for August 7th.

Vardy was the first and as much as I lauded him last season, I wouldn't have been upset if he went and we got Musa and Slimani in as attackers. I don't think that Arsenal would have suited him and I think he'd have lost his place but I could understand a move from his point of view, big pay day and the chance to play for a "big" club before he retires - he's not so young after all. In the end he wised up and realised that he is a hero at Leicester and that we play the way that is best for him.

Mahrez, I'm surprised that we haven't had a lot more interest in him, he's at a prime age and he's maturing into a better player every game. I don't want him to go but if he does I have faith in Demarai Gray to replace him and our scouts are good at finding speedy Wing/midfielders.

Kanté, for me he was our player of the year and I'd be the most upset of all the players if he left. It seems as if he's going to Chelsea from all reports and if he is then I say "go quickly". I'm surprised. He was a nothing this time last year and he got a 35K ish salary on a 4 year contract. If he had been a failure he would have expected us to pay out his 35K every week for 4 years without any argument but it appears he now wants to tear up his last 3 years of his contract to go to another "Big club". We've offered him a wage rise (in the region of 80k-100K a week), he has CL football and he has made it into the French team ready for the World cup. But that seemingly isn't good enough for him. not even for 1 more year which wouldn't hurt his chances of playing on the european club stage. So go. Leicester's success is based on a team and players who suddenly think they are too good for the team are not going to be any good for us. If the reports are true of course. Happily we've signed Mendy and have Drinkwater and James coming back with King as back-up, hopefully another signing will come in if he goes and then onwards and upwards.

Jeff Schlupp. I like him, he's as fast as the wind, very strong but as thick as a brick. He's a great back-up and he changes the dynamic of the game when he enters as sub, he'll probably suit West Brom but I'll take the £9m and not have to make excuses when he blasts over from 5m.

Leo Ulloa. Has had interest this off season. Great striker for a low prem side. Can score goals, can hold up the ball. For us he's a good back-up for the alternative plan when we're losing. If we get Slimani (unlikely it seems) or another striker I don't mind him moving but otherwise I'd keep him as back-up. Nice guy and good player. He can score at Prem level (proven).

Ben Chillwell - Liverpool wanted him badly. hopefully we've held onto him. He'll replace fuchs next season (not this) and could easily become an England LB.

Don't know of any other first teamers that are supposed to be going. unless you count Dodoo - off to Rangers and fair enough we've progressed as a team to a point where we are buying Striking talent that is a lot higher than him.

finally. I know that we are not a Big club but we are a team and we're a team playing CL football this year. Why players don't want to hang around for that experience is astonishing to me and anyone who leaves goes with my thanks but not necessarily my best wishes.

Don't forget last season Cambiasso left us and everyone was saying that we're in trouble now...the rest is history.

i think part of the reason nobody wants to live in leicester. but losing just one core player this offseason should be considered a success.

Have you ever even visited Leicester? Or England?

England is a small country. Lots of players don't live in the city that they play for. Two or three Leicester players live in Manchester so maybe some live in London - it's the same distance, 100 miles. I live further away from the university that I teach at and I'm not paid football wages.

seems unlikely pro football players would be commuting 2 hours to their training ground every day

Kante was Leicester's most important player last season IMO. All credit to Vardy and Mahrez, but having that guy who could cover seemingly every blade of grass without tiring is what really set Leicester apart. He led the PL in tackles and interceptions.

This will be quite a get for Conte.

Those players are extremely rare and hard to find, too. Leicester will have their work cut out in adequately replacing him.

shoulda gotten a lot more than 32 mil, considering his age and selling to a division rival. i guess that's why small time clubs have difficulty staying at top, they dont know manage their assets once they become valuable.

I don't know the ins and outs of his contract so it's difficult to comment.

Still a £27m profit in 1 year is not bad.
